On the twelfth day of Christmas, I finally made a post.
*edited to say, that thanks to our Vee, I finally learned when the REAL 12th day of Christmas is!
;-)
I hope you all are having a BEAUTIFUL December. I hope you are healthy and doing well! The lake has its Christmas tree up and it makes me so happy that Papa Goose has his own tree - he has to share of course - but you know what I mean. And Daisy Cottage has her Christmas tree up too and it is all decorated and bright and shining. The annual Christmas parade was the first Thursday night of the month and it started out with gorgeous fireworks and I brought my chocolate chip oatmeal nut cookies to celebrate. I decked the dining room WALLS with a canvas print of one of my images of Summer Lynn feeding the ducks. I love it up there! I've been busy painting while Marley has been busy sleeping. ;-) Have listed a few cards in my Etsy shop too. And the Great White Pelicans are back - our literal snowbirds have arrived, once again, all the way from Wisconsin. I find that SO fascinating that they find our little lake every single year! They will be with us through Easter. Oh and I stood on our airport's tower catwalk to photograph the runways for a client. I just didn't look down. Or breathe.
;-)
Well, I haven't finished Christmas shopping. I haven't wrapped anything. I haven't mailed any cards. I haven't ....
Ahhh never mind. I would rather focus on what I HAVE done.
And being in the moment of the moments. It's all we have, right kids?
xo
Thank you for sharing the beauty of the earth, the treasures of friendships and family. Simply done and magnificent at the same time. Kim you have been given a talent and you have used it well. Peace and joy.

There you are, I missed you! Your Christmas tree is decorated so nicely with all the ornaments you love and cherish. I love that canvas print of Summer Lynn. Your house is looking so festive this holiday season. I see you have been painting, with a very special one of a white horse. :) Those oatmeal cookies sure do look good.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Kim, and you are truly a special soul that exudes all things good that gladdens the hearts of many.
love you, ~Sheri

You'll be happy to know that you are not as far behind as you think! It may be December 12, but it is not the 12th day of Christmas. The first day of Christmas is Christmas Day itself. Think you can talk your family and friends into that? 😊 It'll buy you some time...
Beautiful tree right in the middle of your sweet artwork and lovely photos of your wonderful Daisy Cottage.
Praying that all that needs doing gets done! Enjoy these precious days.

I love everything you do, photograph or paint! Is the horse picture for sale - its over the top. I love it. Everything is so beautiful at your house and always speaks to my heart.
I had to have both of my puppies put to sleep this past year. Told myself I was done but than purchased two red Yorkiepoos from Stacy Collins in Jacksonville, FL and picked them up Monday. They two little balls of red fur. I have two girls from the same litter and I am in heaven. LOL
Hugs,

Thank you so much for your love! The horse painting sold and is on its way to Oklahoma. But thank you so much for your interest and kind words! I hope to paint more of them in the new year. I am so sorry about the passing of your fur babies - never easy and always heart breaking. May God Bless them always as He holds them forever. But I am happy you have two new little girls to love!! Life is too short not to .. and I know they adore you!!
Love you always,
Me

You are sooo right Miss Kim. The trip with Summer Lynn to the nursery, those are the important moments. That's the memories we will remember. The picture of your sweet little girls feeding the ducks is one of my favorites. Love the horse painting. My granddaughter is a horse lover and has been her whole life. She started lessons this year at almost 13 years old. She's been very patient.
Missed you but knew you'd be back.
Hugs from MO, Mary
