The babies are all so precious! And many of the mallard ducklings have grown up which is a true miracle on this lake. We have one Australian swan left on a nest but she has no eggs. Maybe she will soon? Her mate protects her fiercely and the love they have for each other is amazing to witness.
The other day I was sitting on the grass with Papa Goose while he ate his food and when he was done he walked down to the lake to get a drink of water as he likes to do after his meal. He spread his wings and I quickly snapped my camera ....
That is an angel wing for sure. Our beautiful beautiful Papa Goose.

Such amazingly beautiful images, Kim! And Papa Goose surely must be a guardian angel.

What a fantastic picture of Papa Goose's wings. Those little yellow babies are so cute. Kim, no matter what I'm doing in life with my house, or family, or busy schedules, I always have to get back to nature where I belong. Your post made me think of that, and with a tear in my eye, I thank you for being such a kindred spirit of mine.

Great shot! I wish I lived near a lake. I'm sure I'd find all kinds of critters to take photos of.

Beautiful. We have a Canadian Goose family spending time in our pond. One day I was watching them cross the pond, papa and mama with the little ones in a line between the until they got close to the pond and then the little ones ran on ahead to the water.
I love the picture of the wing :)
