Good Morning! Good Afternoon! Good Evening! Good Everything!
It is Monday morning where I am but I know that it may not be where you are. So wherever you are I do hope that it is good. I hope you had a wonderful week and weekend. I found a "new" dollhouse at a yard sale for $5! It was definitely handmade by someone a long time ago and it is so sweet! There is no door and there is a staircase that leads to nowhere and it has windows that do not match. All adds to the charm, I say! The roof has been painted in the perfect green from its time and I love it. That will stay as is. I have an old quilt in the living room (you can see it in the post below) that is going to be my inspiration for this dollhouse. When I am done I will share it with you but of course! In the meantime, I will share as I go along on my Instagram too.
If you haven't treated yourself to a dollhouse, I highly recommend that you do. There is something about these little homes - they bring out the little girl or boy in us.
And I think that is pretty cool.

Oh, Kim, the dollhouse is adorable! Love what you are doing with it. Is this your existing furniture? You certainly have the knack for making a cozy, loving home, large or small.

Thank you so much Gail! :)
A couple of the cabinets, piano bench, and flowers I already had in the other one. I've been a busy bee hunting and gathering the past week for this one! ;) The sisal rug is a sheet of very thin burlap from Hobby Lobby that I trimmed with red Ric-Rac. I have a dresser drawer of dollhouse treasures that I can pull from too. I have some fun things on the way from Ebay and Etsy... one is a bed just like what is upstairs! All so fun!
Love,
Me

I never did end up getting a dollhouse like I said I would when you decorated the last one. I think it may be time to really do it. Maybe I'll find one at the swap meet this weekend ;)
I hope you're having a beautiful week, my friend.
Love you much,
rue

I've never had a doll house. And now, I have no idea where I'd put one. But you have fun with that one!

Kim, your doll house is so charming, I love it! You know, the girls' grandpa built them a doll house when they were little, and through the years when they were all grown up, I ended up giving it away (foolish me). I wish I had that doll house once again, but your little doll house reminds me that I would love to have one again. Those boots are too funny.

Oh, that looks like fun! I don't remember ever having a doll house but for my final American History project in high school I did a doll house size replica of The Hermitage with my best friend. Her father was an upholster and we had fabulous fabrics to work with from his remnants. It was one of the best times and I so wish I had pictures of it still.
You got a bargain, I think it was meant for you!

I've been really enjoying all your dollhouse posts on IG. So cozy beautiful little rooms. I own too many dollhouses to count. Call me obsessed. Keep on playing and decorating!

Oh Kim, I've been wanting a dollhouse forever. I think it's time for me to move in to my beach cottage, one way or another. :)
That piano is so realistic.
Have fun, friend.

Just when I couldn't be more inspired by you; I find out about your doll houses. Seriously, I have only just figured out that these really ARE miniatures and not full size. I thought you were just calling Daisy Cottage a dollhouse (because it's really that perfect.) So wow and wow!!
I literally can't wrap my brain around how you make these amazing miniatures. I am awed.
