I love my morning walks, especially in the fall. The light is so pretty and the birds sound so happy - in a different way than they do in the spring, but happy indeed. I especially love walking the alleys. I try to be quiet in my step so as not to spook the animals along the way. I love the alley cats and yes there are many! Some are so friendly and want to follow you home. I love the various structures and garden gates that I see. I try to take note of where to bring Summer Lynn to not only take her picture but for her to explore along with me. I want to get a big red wagon soon, like the kind her mother and uncle had when they were young that I wish we still had. That way I can bring her, a comfy quilt, and a picnic of "yum yums!" It will be so much fun and of course we will end up at the lake, so we will have to bring food for our feathered family too.
I can't wait.

WOW.... the Birds are amazing... and yes there is most definately a difference in their "Fall" song as opposed to their "Spring" Melody.. Right??..... either way .. very beautiful !! So peaceful...... thank you Kim for sharing... always a pleasure!!

A red wagon sounds ideal and so much fun for both you and Summer Lynn. How lucky she is to have you for her Birdie. She will learn so much from your love of nature.

What a happy thought...a red wagon, your grand, and the lake...sounds wonderful! The pictures are beautiful, especially the cardinal in the golden forest.

I love my walks too. They are the times I am at peace and my heart is so full of the beauty around me. I just did a post on finding the beauty in the dead "weeds" of fall. You just can't be in nature and not find the beauty all around you! Thanks for sharing Kim!

Oh my gosh, I never see the red cardinal around here. This is such a sweet beautiful bird. I bet you see all kinds of interesting things when you walk through the alleys. They are mysterious and fun to me. If I was an alley cat, I'd follow you home. :~)
love,

Unfortunately our country isn't the habitat of the beautiful Cardinal you captured, but I enjoy your picture very much! Thank you for sharing Kim!
