I've been having so much fun playing house this week with Bentley as my constant assistant while Marley and Maggie pretty much napped the week away. I painted a dining room buffet green last weekend which led me to painting the drawers of my office dresser a pretty blue which led me to getting another dresser already in the perfect chippy patina to use for my wine bar as I passed the former one on to Shawn. I worked on Summer Lynn's play area and will share pics of those later. I cleaned my office and organized my red camera bag that I love in anticipation of spending as much time outside as possible in the weeks ahead - walking, taking pics, and soaking up the gorgeous light! Florida fall is beautiful in its own way and I don't want to miss a second of it. So dear Daisy Cottage..... you have been freshened up and you are all clean - and now I am ready for my fall fling!
;-)
Happy Weekend Sweet Friends!

I would love to be there this afternoon sipping on some wine! I am super lazy these days just waiting for fall in Texas. Love the painted furniture!

I love your house. Years ago you inspired me to be brave and make my kitchen all yellow and red and vintage-y. Even my husband likes it.
Which is funny because when my son got married, I turned his room into my Study and it is a combination of earth tones and deep reds and deep greens.
Perhaps each room is a separate part of my personality? :)
Anyway, I always love seeing your house. I don't ever comment as I usually read on my iPad but this time I was at the desktop computer...

you inspire so many people
and this is your gift............
you share so many of your ideas in homemaking -
you've shared papa goose - the ducklings the swans your furry family and yourself in which this is all a part of your world.
and dear summer lynn = weve watched her grow and almost want to say "oh darling don't you ever grow up ! sigh - and so she is growing everyday in leaps and bounds......
you are so loved and appreciated - especially by me !

Kim, that red camera bag is so cool, I love it! Your cottage looks so charming, and it's such a good feeling to clean, isn't it? That's what I'm doing with my own nest right now, and decorating. Bentley always touches my heart, and I want to give him a BIG KISS every time I see him. Enjoy your Florida Fall, Kim.
love,
~Sheri
