A Season
to everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted.
ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Some of the cygnets of spring are being returned to the lake. They are so precious and I am so happy they are home. These August days of brilliant sunshine just got brighter.
I so hope that the video I have tried to link above works and you are able to take a few minutes and close your eyes (and yes, breathe) and listen to the beautiful voices of the birds and the sweet, heavenly notes. Right about the 1:50 mark, I, personally, feel a wave of hopeful, loving, peace. In light of the recent loss of Robin Williams and all of the others in our lives who may not be famous but who battle nonetheless, this is my small way to give tribute. Most of us battle something in some way almost every day. Souls can be so very fragile. What may break one may not break the other. We are all in this life together. All we can do is try to be aware, listen, and be there. And pray that all those who suffer find something or someone in their lives that gives them peace.
May God's light always shine down and help all to find their way.
Inhale through your nose with your mouth closed, letting your abdomen expand as you do so, to the count of 5. Hold your breath to the count of 5 and then slowly release your breath through your mouth to the count of 7.
Repeat.
It works doesn't it?
I read about this breathing lesson recently and thought I would share with you. I sometimes close my eyes when I do it and it is heavenly - a wave of instant peace. Life, as we know, can be so incredibly stressful at times and maybe if we truly take the time to inhale and exhale in a deeper way several times a day that will help us a bit as we live our ups and downs with the emphasis on UP journeys.
:-)
And inhaling and exhaling all of the beautiful life around us will help too. Right?
