Everything was so beautiful.  

I wrote a whole post and then deleted it.  My futile attempts at words seemed to diminish the moments captured.

But yes, everything was beautiful.  I will share more images in the days ahead.  Thank you so much for your love.  You were with us.

Romeo & Juliet

Meet Romeo & Juliet.  ;-)   They live on the southeast side of the lake. Everytime I see them they are swooning and it is so incredibly beautiful to see.  They don't have a nest, as of now, but maybe they will in the days ahead.

Speaking of the days ahead, I will be busy with all things wedding but I will be back afterwards.  And once again, thank you SO much for your loving wishes for Shannon and Austin as they marry.  

You are incredibly beautiful too.

Random ...

Favorite pots on the porch are ready for their spring flowers.  All around town, a few golden tabebuia blooms hang on.  My office is nice and clean and I find that so comforting.  The lively seagulls on the lake add their own impish sparkle and light.  Fluffy feathers that Shannon and I collected together are all ready for her wedding.  Papa Goose is still as handsome as he can be.  Summer Lynn is learning how to toddle barefoot in the grass. Bentley loves smooches and being in my lap.  And sunsets are extra beautiful, especially when shared with the moon.

When I was pushing Summer Lynn in her stroller, I happened to look up and saw this message in the sky ...

The timing was so perfect.  The message so true.  Thank you skywriter.

And thank you God too.

As the Wind Blows

Sun and sand.  Love and wind. And wind. And wind.

And wind.

Gentle waves and springtime haze.  Seagulls flying and me trying.

Trying to capture in my very small way the very big way the love Shannon and Austin have for each other; the love they have for Summer Lynn; the love they have for their family.  Life is a journey.  There is darkness and light.  There is heartache and euphoria.  And a whole lot in between.  The rain falls and the sun shines.  And the wind does indeed blow.  And we make our way here on earth's path the best we can in the day that we have been given and hopefully always with faith and hope in our heart.


Wedding bells will be ringing very soon!

It was a beautiful day. I have a slight sunburn on my face from my time at the lake and much love in my heart. I love spring. To everything there is a season. This is a cherished one. Thank you all for sharing this season of the swan with me.

Love Birds

We have several nests with mamas-in-waiting scattered around the lake. Spring has definitely sprung and the hope and anticipation has begun.  I went yesterday in the afternoon to make my rounds and these two love birds were so beautiful as they showed their affection to each other.  Oh how I love this time of year!  But you already knew that.  ;-)  I wish you could be here too to witness their love and devotion to bringing new life to the world.

Gifts ...

I don't know about you but at this stage of my life and as the human world becomes noisier and noisier with its chaos of instant gratification communication, intense competition for anything and everything, and social media overload, the more I seek peace from within; from God; and from our Mother Nature. 

We have been given SO much to find comfort and joy in.  It is amazing to me, that even when we humans cast aside the daily gifts that await us, they are still here.  Gifts that bloom.  Gifts that soar.  Gifts of comfort that remind us that no matter how much things change, they stay the same even as the world becomes scarier and scarier. The sun, the moon, the stars, the rain - the wings wide open show us this again and again.

I hope you have a beautiful day.  May your soul if weary be lifted and gifted in every way today.
