How could that ball of fluff ever been called ugly as in the story of The Ugly Duckling? The last image is extra sweet with the snuggling under Mama's protective wing after the day's swimming lesson.

Oh, Kim. I thought of you yesterday afternoon while on a local garden tour. One home was located on a small lake and I was so excited to see a mama mallard duck and her seven ducklings swim along the bank in a little parade. Then came mama and papa goose (Canada geese) and their three goslings. As happy as I was to see them, I can only imagine how you must love your lake and your feathered friends.

I'm getting to experience my daughter with her baby this week. It is all sweet bonding moments just like this mama and baby.
