Simply beautiful.

Red Rose Alley

What a special rose from a very dear man. I can see why you would want to keep it long after its bloom. Thank you for the heartwarming story.

This is such a lovely story of a respectful, loving, caring, gentle and generous relationship. It is a story of mutual appreciation and loving care. I love the way I can picture it all through your tender words. The lake is a magical place.

Dear Kim,
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us about the "dear Man". This just proves to me what a special and kind person you are. I think a lot of people would just pass this "dear man" by but you actually have a relationship with him and appreciate what he has to give to the world. Please keep sharing your world with us. It is a blessing to be able to read your blog and have you, Maggie and the crew; the ducks and geese; new grand baby; your kiddoes and daisy cottage adventures. "Dear Man" couldn't have picked a better person to give his rose to.

Thanks for sharing :-)

Amy in Texas

What a beautiful and touching story. And what a treasure your friend and the rose are. Cherish both.

May God bless your sweet spirit and every beautiful human being 'out there'...

Amy Jo

What a beautiful story. I am glad you shared it with us.

An angel in disguise? Sounds like a kind soul to me! Thanks for sharing.

Your friend at the lake has a Beautiful Soul Bless him. When you said that he searches your face when talking about Shawn I know that this man has great empathy and compassion for you (Beautiful). You both have beautiful Souls and Hearts. Thank you for sharing so precious!! xo :)

Oh you had me teary this morning Kim. I'm so happy your friend has visits with someone as lovely as you to look forward to.

G from Ga

I'm reading this through teary eyes. You and your friend are both very special souls.

Touched my heart with your words here today. I know the Lord in Heaven sees your friend's BIG heart, and hears his prayers and thoughts about Shawn. {The Lord had no place to lay His head it says in Scripture}, and so it may be with this man, but the Father is always always with Him. Your rose is beyond gorgeous. It has been given a purpose beyond smelling heavenly and revealing beauty. And I believe it has has fulfilled its purpose and beyond. For has touched many Love to you Kim. You are a blessing. God bless your friend at the Lake. (((hug))) xoxo

Such a beautiful rose...and such a very special story. Thanks for sharing it. It truly blessed my day!

We should all learn to stop and smell the roses more often. The Bible says that we can entertain angels unawares and I think that's what's you're doing. Either that or a God-wink! So sweet.

Your precious and beautiful soul Kim.. God bless you. many would just have simply ignored him. Wonderful you have reached out to him. Sweet post.

Becky from Tennessee

This is beautiful, Kim! I am teary
eyed reading this story of your
special friend. What beautiful
kind souls you both are. Thank you
for sharing with us.

vicky smart gransee

Kim, that is so beautiful.....he may be your angel......and you may be his also......:)

I love your stories about the lake and little feathered ones. I imagine them all. Now you have added a person to the picture. I love that and I love that he is a happy soul. Tell him a reader said "Hi Happy Soul" and that his story made me smile today and I really needed that. :)

Beautiful gift of friendship.

Lovely flower too.

He's very lucky to have friendship around the pond. :)

Peggy Williams

Thank you Kimberly. That was just beautiful.

what a beautiful story! Sometimes there are angels on earth. I think your friend at the lake is one of them.
Beautiful how he doesn't ask for anything, but at the same time he shares the most important thing in life and that is LOVE!

How sweet.... he is as much as a blessing to you, as you are to him.

I have a homeless buddy that hangs out where I work. The other day, I noticed (across the river) a news crew filming him and another gentleman. I didn't realize (reading the story) that he has been homeless for 35 years!!! How does that happen in our country?

God Bless you, your friend and all of them.... they are special people. <3

My heart is warmed on a cold winter night after reading your lovely story. One rose can mean so much. . . Thank you, Kim.

I needed to read this, Kim. Thank you so much for sharing. I have tears streaming down my cheeks. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. So are you. And so is he.
