Capturing ...

A month ago we said our temporary goodbyes to our Shawn.  I remember wanting to capture every detail and every moment with my camera but most importantly with my heart.

 

Can you see the worry in my mother-eyes?

So many details that I wanted to remember ...

And as I snapped the photos and tried to stay in the moment, moments of motherhood came flooding back ....  like when I would hold these very hands so tightly when he was a little boy to keep him safe as we crossed a busy street or when I would hold them just because that is what Mommys of little ones do - wishing all the while that we could hold and keep them safe forever.

Thinking of you sweet Kim. I know every single feeling you are feeling. I cannot wait for that joyful day when Shawn returns home. What a wonderful day it will be....there will be a wedding to plan and so many happy moments for you all. I know God will keep Shawn safe and he will be home soon.
