She Said Yes

Shawn and Carly met last year in Texas while training to be Combat Medics.

And they fell in love.

Shawn asked Carly to marry him.

And she said yes.

They will set a date when Shawn returns from his deployment to Afghanistan. He leaves in a few weeks so I wanted to take their engagement photos for them.

And I wanted to share them with you.

These images were captured within an hour.

An hour that I will forever remember.

Moments shared with my precious son and his precious bride-to-be.

Oh Kim....I don't have words to express...the deeper things ...but I do feel them. This honorable young man will have much to be rooted to and keep him strong as he goes to serve and give in another country. A Stable foothold in the USA...(home)...that will surround and support him as he is out.. That is a GOOD thing. yes. Fantastic pics mama. Another name to set beside his...in my prayers. :-) Shawn and now Carly will have a covering of prayers over them. God bless. Thinking of you. Very nice engagement photos. My favorite was the black and white one of them, and of course, the brick alley. I loved that one. Nel just got married two weeks ago, so I know of what you may be feeling right now. It is a glorious day for all.

Kim...what a lovely couple they are. I'm so happy to hear that Shawn found his soul mate. "She is as cute as a bug with a bow on it's ear" as my mother used to say. We will keep you and Shawn in our daily prayers as he sets off to defend our country. Having this beautiful girl, becoming an uncle to Summer and having you as a mom, is more than anyone could ask for. He is one lucky young man!

Yay cogratulations. I will be praying for your son. One of my daughters just graduated with computer training at Fort Gordon today. Shes Army Reserves. Trying to transfer back here from the state she signed in from and go to school. Although she wants to jump out of helecopters too. Its opened to women these days. Ugh.. shes 5'4 and 98 lbs will be hard for her to get in. I will pray for your son.
