Nature heals. It lifts us up, restores our faith, and feeds our soul. There is so much beauty to be found. Beauty IS everywhere. We have to make the time in our lives to find it and see it.
Well, we don't HAVE to but I believe that we NEED to.
In this day and age of social media, instant gratification, and constant communication, I truly believe that we need to get back in touch with nature more than ever.
Nature nurtures. And I think we all could use some nurturing.
:-)
Our ducklings are growing up! Here is one of them ... Sugar Top. Do you see how magnificent her feathers are?
Promise me this. Take a few moments today to go outside and marvel at a gift given to you from Mother Nature and above. Whether it be a rock or a leaf or a bird in a tree, please make sure that you see.
Your heart will thank you.

Thank you Kim...I accept the challenge! you are RIGHT! ~The feathers on the little duckling remind me of carnival glass with their rainbow effects as the light hits them... Do you have egrets at your lake? I think they are SO captivating, too. *especially the Snowy. Hugs to you!! lovely photos as always. smiling........

Mother Nature is indeed wondrous. While you ponder her majesty, please keep good thoughts for those in Isaac’s path. This is so calming, Kim. Thank you.

Sugar Top is beautiful. The color in her feathers reminds me of peacock feathers. During each morning walk, I am alert to the gifts of Mother Nature. The song of birds, the call of hawks, maybe the sight of a heron on the river bank, ducks floating in the morning mist or geese flying overhead. Some mornings, I'm blessed by a doe and her fawn or one of the foxes who live nearby. In the evenings, possibly I'll see a raccoon with her young family. Mother Nature has so many gifts if we will just stop and look. Thank you for the sweet reminder.

You have given us a real feast for our eyes. Love the sweet aging rose and the rippling water and Sugar Top. I didn't leave the house today but I will enjoy time in my yard tomorrow! My yard is full of many wonders: birds, bees, butterflies, flowers, bushes and trees, deer and rabbits and baby bunnies, cats, squirrels, blue sky, sunshine and breeze, tomato plants and a neighbor or two. All in my small yard!

Sugar Top is adorable. I have had muscovy ducks for many years. Mr spouse built me a very secure pen with cement floor and the wire bolted to the floor and locked door to house my lovelies every night because we have a very hungry fox that lives in the bush that surrounds our home. EVERY evening, they are all waiting to be locked away and every morning we let them out to be free during the day. I have been doing this same routine for over 6 years. Last week when I went to let them out I was confronted with the most devastating sight that I cannot erase from my mind. Over time we did not realise that one of the bolts had rusted and a fox being a fox found its way into the pen. Dead and injured ducks!! I now only have one very lonely male, George left. He is sad and lonely. I share his pain and loneliness too. How I love visiting your blog, how I love the swans, the ducks, the geese, the beauty that surrounds us, the beauty that you share with us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I saw leaves changing color this morning and it renewed my strength. This heat has truly been overwhelming this summer and the first sign of autumn gave me the hope I needed. You are so right Kim, nature nurtures. Have a wonderful nurturing weekend. Patty

Dear Kim,
I agree that in these times of all the social media and communication we have to connect with nature to find peace in our lives, in our souls. Because in nature we see everything that we are ourselves: a creation of God. And that's exactly what binds us with everyone and everything!
Love, Nina.
