There have been many moments that I have lived on the lake that I cannot begin to describe without having an overwhelming feeling of emotion that usually results in quiet tears sliding down my cheeks ... in joy or sorrow or gratitude. Or all of that and so much more.
So many moments .....
Indeed.
I am so grateful to live near such a beautiful body of water that is home to so many precious little ones. And I am so grateful that I can spend time with them.
It has been one year of my lake visits. So many stories are in my head to share.
Yet they are not MY stories.
Instead they belong to the beautiful feathered ones.
And while I try not to have favorites, I must admit Papa Goose is mine. He makes his life's work to protect all of the mother muscovy ducks and their new ducklings..... loving them like they are his own. Keeping them safe against the predators the best that he can.....
Day in and day out.
I have seen him do this time and time again.
And each and every time ......
Yep. I cry.
Papa Goose is so what is RIGHT with our world.
And I am VERY blessed to witness it.
Happy Easter my dear friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for walking this lake with me for the past year.
I love you,
Kim
