So I went down to the lake today with my food for the birds tucked inside my bag and with my camera in hand. As I always do, when I get to the spot where Papa Goose lives, I called "Papa.... Papa..... come see me! Do you want to eat?"
I hear him respond with his reply that is so uniquely his and as I spot him gliding across the water what do I see?
His new babies! There are eleven and they were born to a different muscovy mother duck. Eventually he and the mother and the wee babies made it to the bank of the lake and sweet Papa let his babies get close to me.
So incredibly beautiful. Yes, this little baby, but also our Papa Goose.
He is a duckling guardian angel for sure.
♥
Oh my gosh they make me giggle cause they are so cute! Sigh..I love babies.
