Our soldier received the achievement medal for:
"MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT, DISCIPLINE, INITIATIVE, ESPIRIT DE CORPS AND ENDURANCE FAR ABOVE HIS PEERS......"
That's my boy. :-)
I am back home after spending precious time with my son and family. Shawn now continues on his journey of serving his country.
Hugs have never felt better and I didn't want to let go....
But of course I had to.
Hearty congrats to him! Hearty congrats to you for raising such a son! Keeping him and all of our soldiers tucked in my prayers. God bless each and every one and the families they represent and the country they honor.

know what your feelin , when i went to my sons graduation, it was really the proudest day of my life, I even had my 2 OTHER YOUNGER SONS COME ALSO, even though i really couldn't afford it, i thought it was important, their dad had passed away and wanted all of us to be there, to have him know how important he was , and what he accomplished was really important, in in his and our life. It Truely changed his life and he really became a man. I Want to tell your son , congrats , and thank you for serving our country, and hope he always gets the respect he deserves for doing so, And besides his mom , we all love him , and wish all the best in his military career. And he God bless him. This is such an accomplishment in his life and his family and friends also

Oh how I know your feeling of love and compassion for all the Shawn is - your son, your soldier. Kim, it is never easy to have to say goodbye when they leave to go back to where they now call home. I am so proud of Shawn - and not one bit surprised - that he was given such an honorable award. Way to go, Mr. Shawn! We love you and your family. Thinking of you each and every day....
always.
