Yes, this is more than a little lake to me.
I don't know if you can see Little One and New Baby's pen where they lived and died in the upper left corner...but that is where they were. And where YOU were.
Anyway, yes a little lake, this is true, but it sure holds a whole lot of life!
Let's see... every day you will find swans, ducks, egrets, ibises, herons, turtles, snakes, fish, squirrels, birds, butterflies, dragonflies, anhingas, snails, ants, bees, lizards, pelicans, and gosh so much more!
Even alligators! Yes alligators ...
Young and old walk, run, and speed on by.
On foot, on bike, and in car and truck.
Day by day you will find residents, visitors, and the homeless here.
Day by day you will witness kindness and meanness and good and yes even evil.
But you will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS witness a miracle.
this is wonderful!
i so love the lake and the wildlife!
thanks for sharing!
i didnt realize that there were aligators - !
oh my !

Gee, i feel sorry for the folks that have to live in those beautiful homes so close to the water zoo! if they get tired of all the green trees and blue water they can come to my house...i live in the dry hot desert and all my dreams are in color...different shades of green! lol

Hi Kim, I've missed Daisy Cottage so much and I decided tonight to click on your blog under my favorites and for some reason didn't realize you had this new place to share your photos! I'm glad you're still around and hope all is well at Daisy Cottage. Are you having a good summer? Will you be posting on Daisy Cottage's blog again? I love your photos as always. Say hi to Maggie from Marshall (our husky/lab cross). :-) Blessings to you. Hugs, Pamela

Kim I so hope you are happy and in a good place in your life. You just seem so sad to me now. I loved reading about your trip to WV. The WV line in one area is least than hour from here in VA. Be happy my friend. With Love, Lynda

It's wonderful to see whole area where the swans story has been lived out! And please be careful of those alligators, dear Kim - we want to keep you intact!!

I love how you don't seem to mind the alligators and snakes. And I agree with you that there is always beauty, we just have to look for it. Happy weekend, Kim.
