The gray one IS still alive and being kept elsewhere where the city has been raising it after they had to remove he/she from the pen when it got into something.  The baby will NOT be returned to the mother as they said she will not know it as hers.  The baby will be on its own.

Born on Easter Sunday, April 24th, 2011.

Passed away sometime Saturday morning, May 27th, 2011

May our baby's precious life here on earth inspire ALL of us to embrace every moment that we are given.

 

I love you Little One.  I will NEVER forget you.

A Mini Me

This little one walked up to the pen with her mother this morning and became so excited to see our Little One. 

"Look Mommy! She has a baby!" she exclaimed with glee as only a child witnessing something for the very first time can.

Though she didn't want to leave the baby when it came time to hold her mother's hand and go home, she gently blew a kiss goodbye with her own chubby little hand and obediently, yet sadly, wistfully walked away.


Somehow, I could relate.
