On Saturday, Mr. Daisy Cottage and I drove to St. Pete for the day along with our friend Cindy to a local home tour that we enjoyed, as we do every year, and then followed up with a leisurely and very yummy lunch. It was a beautiful day, even though it was cold for us Floridians - but no, it did not snow. ;-)
I don't have any photos of the home tour to share - please forgive me - BUT I do have some porch ones that I took from the car as we drove up and down another neighborhood's pretty tree-lined streets on our way back home.
But first ...
In case you don't believe me that it WAS cold, you can ask him - he will vouch for me ...
We met this handsome guy on the way to the Columbian Restaurant which is located at the top of this building on the Pier ... (you and I have been here before)
We treated ourselves to delicious Sangria, their awesome and original 1905 house salad, and yummy tender chicken and yellow rice ...
While we munched, we watched the Coast Guard practice rescue maneuvers through the glass window ...
So yes, after we filled our tummies, we took a fun little detour on our way home and explored a charming neighborhood from the comfort of our car.
Make sure your seatbelt is on and let's peek at some porches together, shall we? Oh and please say hi to the resident dogs and kitty cats. There are two dogs... do you see the second one? ;-)

They are so charming, aren't they? I hope you enjoyed the drive-by tour too!
Now I'm off to clean my porch.
