Oh my! The Fancy Flea on Saturday was the BEST one so far! I am so proud of my dear friend, Lori, for having the vision years ago and seeing it through. I love you Lori.
So yes.. amazing vendors and so many treasures! Wow! And it was really neat to see so many bloggers! Blogworld does indeed make our world much smaller and intimate. I wish you all could have been there too - even though you know you WERE in my heart. It was such a thrill to meet those of you that I did for the first time and just as thrilling to see many of you again. Thank you very much for all of your kindness and sweet support. While The Fancy Flea was indeed truly over the moon fantastic in every way, meeting YOU was the highlight of the day for me.
Well of course I took many photos, and also of course, I will share some of them with you now but not in any real order. Actually let me rephrase that - I will share them with you in real RANDOM order. You know me. ;-)
So yes, please enjoy The Fancy Flea with me!
But first, look at this beautiful one's adorable hat that she created for the Summer Bonnet Hat Contest! Love it!
Okay, off we go..... oh, my sister bought the blue iron bed that you see here in the background. Darn her! Hmmmm... maybe one day it will be mine? ;-)
Beautiful Kimberly Ryan of Paris Rags was there along with her equally beautiful creations...
Let the randomness begin...
Lori's booth... I loved it all. But of course.
Random...
My sweet young friend, Nichole, of Flea Chic Fab, was also there with her amazing jewelry ( I do believe I am her biggest fan, but then again, she has MANY) and her booth was next to her beautiful Mom's booth, Yvonne, which represented HER NEW shop, Black Swan Bazaar .... a must see destination!!
More randomness...
My charming friend, Kim, of Ticklish Mermaids was there with her wonderful and whimsical art....
So many pretty things.... swoon.....
Shoppers came in all sizes as you can see...
Erica's booth was gorgeous as always ...
Random, random....
Check out Lisa's site .... one talented chicky..... and oh my gosh..SHE is gorgeous too!
My AWESOME sister's awesome "attitude pillows" were at my dear friend's Cindy's booth.......
These lovelies were found at Deb of Vintage Soul's booth .... you might remember that I wrote about her and her GORGEOUS store for Romantic Country...
Random....
pssst.... remember this adorable couple? So good to see you again Blueberry Mike and Jessi!
You might also remember Tiffany - the sweet one who made Maggie Christmas ornaments for me. She had an awesome booth too and shared her space with her mother who had wonderful jewelry...
Of course our Lori's hand painted furniture FLEW out of the Flea almost immediately... and this desk was no exception. It went home with Susan... a lovely new neighbor of mine. :-)
SO SO SO FUN.
And my favorite little girl was there too - little Miss Kate.... who YOU have met before.
I hope you enjoyed The Fancy Flea with me! I might add a few more pics here within this post as time allows. And of course.... randomly.
;-)
Much love,
Kim

I saw you at the fancy flea but you were walking by and I was inside a tent with my hands full paying for everything! So, alas I did not get to meet you but I had the best time there! My daughter and I spent over three hours and met so many wonderful people. My daughter, Carissa, even bought an apron that is in one of photos! As soon as she bought it she put it on. She wore it the rest of the day. It was a perfect day! I would have never heard of the fancy flea if it wasn't for you! Many thanks!

Kim,
My girlfriend Chris was there and bought a fabulous pair of wrought iron decorative pieces. I have a shop in Texas and hope to come sell next year and see my friends and family in Lakeland. Thanks for showing the pics! Heather

OM Goodness. I wish I lived near. y husband and I went to a flea market yesterday about 45minutes away and I only spent $1.00. Lots of stuff that I would have thrown away. LOL. Now, I wanted to ask you if you could email me where I could find flea markets like this one in the state of Florida. My email is [email protected]. Now that our kids are away at college it would be wonderful to get in the car and drive somewhere for the weekend and go junking. Would love to hear from you.
Thanks for sharing and your pictures are beautiful.

We had a wonderful time... our first Fancy Flea! Traveled from Cape Coral, met some lovely friends who live in Lakeland, and bought enough treasures to fill the trunk of my car! We even stopped to visit the swans at Lake Morton. Only regret... we did not get to meet you! Next time...

I hope to someday meet you there. It was a wonderful Flea and I will most certainly go back. I came away with several goodies. I think meeting so many fellow bloggers was the best. It would certainly be a great place for a blogger get together in the fall.

Your post did not disappoint. Everything looks just lovely. Several things caught my eye...
Posted by: La | May 02, 2011 at 07:13 PM
Kim, I looked for you but didn't see you. I was going to invite you to have lunch with us. I met some bloggers from around Florida, and we ate at The Terrace. So sorry to have missed you, but I did look.
I have a question for you. Is there ANY way you can find out who had the booth with that pink rocking chair??? I saw two chairs there that I really love and didn't have my checkbook with me. Actually, I had the WRONG checkbook with me. There were two red chairs in a booth, and I think I see the arm of one. The booth was called_______Boy. I can't remember the first part. LOL!
If you read this, please email me.
Thanks!
XO,
Sheila... who is blogging only sporadically due to a little injury that has reared its ugly head again. Sigh...
Posted by: Sheila | May 02, 2011 at 07:20 PM
Kim, the chair is in the last set of pictures that says Random, and it is on top of some chest. The chairs I love are red.
Posted by: Sheila | May 02, 2011 at 07:22 PM
(((Sheila)))
I would have LOVED to have seen you! We must have kept missing each other ...
I don't know whose booth that was but I THINK it might be my neighbor's... I will do my best to find out. Lori may know too.
I've missed you! I hope to catch up with you soon and I also hope your injury heals quickly!!!!
Love,
Me

Kim, I'm having a bad hair day. LOL! Not sure my first comment made it, so I'm trying again.
I am very sorry to have missed you Saturday. I looked for you to see if you wanted to have lunch with a group of us who came from all over Florida. I had hoped to see you there, but I looked and looked to no avail.
I fell in love with some red chairs, and I can't remember who the dealer is or even whether he still has them. I think it was something like__________ Boy. But I don't know what the first word was. I'm thinking it's the booth in the last set of pictures that says Random, with the little pink rocker on top of a chest. Is there any way you can help me find him? I didn't have the right check book, but I fell in love with a couple of chairs. Please let me hear from you.
XO,
Sheila (who is blogging only sporadically due to a little injury that has cropped up again)

Miss Kate has grown into an adorable cutie and Blueberry Mike is still looking good, too! He and Jessi look so happy!
Thanks for the yummy links, too!

Posted by: Jeff | May 03, 2011 at 09:14 AM
What a perfectly wonderful day!! The small armless rocker in that hopeful shade of green, and the stack of clear pink plates for me, please.
It should take about fifteen hours for the drive, and that will be me in the big ole red pickup.
You have wonderful adventures!
Posted by: racheld | May 03, 2011 at 09:33 AM
Yes, I remember Blueberry Mike from last year!!! Fancy Flea sounds alot like our Roundtop Antique Fair that we have here twice a year.....so, so much fun!!! I always try to save up my money all year to go and buy things. Glad you had a wonderful time. Thanks for the pictures!!!

The Fancy Flea was FABULOUS! The day was gorgeous and the booth displays were beautiful. Everyone was having a great time, all the sellers I spoke to were so kind and friendly. I enjoyed my mini-exploration of Lakeland and want to get back soon to explore some of the shops and the area. It was lovely to visit the swans at Lake Morton and it was lovely to meet you, Kim. It was a special day in so many ways!

I truly enjoyed the Fancy Flea...both in person and again, with your beautiful photos. I even purchased a gorgeous RED mirror! (I'll be sure to take my checkbook in November)Thanks for sharing your bird's eye view of the Flea...I cannot wait for the next one.
I do wish we could have met...I was part of Sheila's party...with Shellbelle. We also met Becky (Junk to Joy) for the first time. And of course, I ran into several other bloggers (Becky from One Shabby Old House...my dear friend, who got me started with blogging). This is a wonderful place for FL bloggers to meet...I can foresee a picnic in that gorgeous park. Hmmmmm.....
