Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give to you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
Sunshine almost always.....

Sunny rays seem to be coming around in gentle waves today---ours unexpected during this week of projected DREAR every single day.
So Today---I enjoyed it, beginning about six a.m., upstairs where the beams began peeking through the sheers. I invited everyone to join me, too. And I think your addition of John Denver is a splendid accompaniment to the gold of the sun.

Ah, a favorite song, although sunshine often makes me sneeze. Go figure. I wasn't finished with John Denver but I have several of his albums and tapes. Sigh!
Happy sunshine to you!
Hugs!

Hi Kim,
Me too! Sun shine makes me smile..
and we had the most beautiful sunshine this past weekend in my little town of Modesto Ca.
I love John Denver, we took our girls to see John Denver for their first concert, and they still remember it and still sings along to his songs even now. John Denver had a life well lived but all to short.
Have a sweet day and big hugs for you,Elizabeth

Oh! I love that John Denver song.
And his sweet story telling style of music. Jim Croce was another favorite of mine. Their lives were taken far too soon. But we'll have their music till the end of time.
It is a beautiful sunny day today Kim, Don't you just love Spring?

The sun is shining brightly today here as well. Here in the pacific northwest we never take the sunshine for granted, it is in fact CELEBRATED.

I love it! My family get togethers are always full of guitar playing and singing. We sing a lot of classic rock and folk. This has been one of the staple songs in our get togethers for as long as I can remember :) Makes me think of summer nights around a bonfire singing with my family ...makes me smile :D

You are so right: Sunshine on the water is lovely! I always think this as I take my coffee down to the dock and watch nature unfold before my eyes. How blessed I feel. Thanks Kim for reminding me.

Kim, I'm sure a lot of your readers would like to say to you that "You are my sunshine, you are my sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, please don't take my sunshine away." I agree with Beth above, that we are lucky to live in Florida. (Even though my local newspaper says we're in the worst drought in 80 years)

I have always loved John Denver. Remembering him always tugs at my heart...he was a sensitive soul who left us far too soon. His music always lifts me up. Hugs, Terri

Hi Kim,
Didn't John Denver give us some great songs? I miss him and his wonderful songs. I have a song posted on my blog playlist called "For You" that he did. It is a very romantic song. I am hoping my son and future daughter-in-law will play that song at their wedding. Thanks for posting the words of the song today---sunshine lifts our spirit so much! Of course, I love your bluebird with the light shining on it at the end, too! Have a fabulous day today, and hope you get lots of "sunshine on your shoulder" today! xoxo Kim
