Rise and shine! The sun is up and it's coffee time!
These cuties always make me smile ...
And of course, so do these ...
And so do you. Speaking of YOU, what are you going to do today?
I will be writing. And eating ... ;-)
And of course, washing.
Whatever you will be doing, I hope you have a great day my sweet chickadees!
Love,
Kim
All of your things look wonderful in the early morning light! But where's Maggie? Is she still sleeping?! My sister and I are taking our 85 year old Mom to get her driver's license renewed. Wish us luck!

AGAIN....you made me smile this cold morning. I just love the way you present your things for a picture. Makes me want to change the color of my surroundings to your "happy" colors. Have a great day dear friend.

What a happy place! :)
Okay Kim, I would like to know how many aprons you have. Did you get them all at garage sales? Are some from your Mother?
We have taken our house off the market and I am feeling so much better with my things about me. Pulled all my aprons back out to use and look at. Some are from my Grandmother, some my Mother's. They make me so happy.
And speaking of coffee...I need to warm this one up!

Pretty pictures of your happy, pretty home Kim....
Today I will be working on mosaicing a bistro set for a client....so I will be breaking plates!

I'm still here for a few more minutes so let me answer ...
Carol... Maggie is asleep. She's all worn out from sleeping all night. ;-)
Jennifer... Let me go count - hold on...
Okay, about 35! Heavens! NONE are from my mother - how I wish these were from my family BUT I think that is why I am so drawn to them. I know they DID belong to beautiful, hard working women and they are such sweet symbols of the days they spent serving and loving their families. I have gotten most of them from yard sales and thrift shops yes, and some from my generous readers!!

As always, Kim, you just make my day. I begin with God's WORD and YOUR blog.
Weather here is a bit cooler today (48) as opposed to yesterday (72) upon awaking. Maybe fall really is here.
Have a blessed day!

My favorite apron is a Christmas one my Mom made for me in the 70's. It's red with white reindeers. More pretty than practical, but I can't wait to put it on and start those Christmas cookies. Love starting my day with you Kim. I'm about to drive my son to the airport where he's going to visit his friend in California for his 25th birthday. Gosh, time goes by fast.

Enjoy your beautiful day! We'll be back in Florida soon...can't wait! Hugs! ♥

Well, today is my bithday and don't tell my family but I think they have something planned. I'm picking my granddauther up from school and taking her to the bookstore. I gave her a bookstore gift card in her bag of Halloween treats-she'd rather have that than candy. (But she got some candy, too).
Then we are going to ride the Incline up the side of Lookout Mountain and look over the side at the Tennessee River and all the glorious fall colors.
Oh yea and I have to do some laundry, wash some dishes and sweep the floor.
But the sun is shining, there is no rain, no wind and no tornadoes so all is well here.
I love your aprons and the little potholders. I just saw the cutest thing in a magazine using a Christmas apron on a window.

It's finally raining in South Alabama. Relief! Makes me want to sit on the porch with my cup of coffee and Winn Dixie, my cat. Temps are supposed to be more "fallish". WOO-HOOO!! After I finish my office work, I'm off to do grocery shopping for apples and caramel for me and my grandkids to make caramel apples this week-end before we go trick-or-treating. What are you're plans for Halloween? Enjoy your day....... God Bless............

You have a great day, too Kim. Thanks for always starting ours out with such sweet kindnesses!

I am making cookies today (and I am not going to eat one). Now if I can just unwrap myself from my blanket and start my day---- brr its cold here.

I'm drinking a huge glass of water as I write this and then I will go to the store to replenish things in the office. I need to pick up some goodies for my grandbabies and get in the mail by Halloween. I'm not a huge Halloween fan, but it's an excuse to do something for my sweeties. I got a new sweetie on the 18th (new granddaughter) and she is PRECIOUS!
My hubby is going out of town today for business and won't be back until Tuesday so I have lots of to-do's on my list. I don't know why I get more done when he's not home b/c he doesn't get in the way anyway. If anybody is interested in cleaning out closets, refrigerators, freezers or putting up china that has been in storage, come on over ;) Kim, love your pretties! Tell Maggie I get tired from sleeping all night too ;-)

Kim, you are just too cute! Today I have much running around to do and last minute shopping before heading out for a camping trip. Have a great weekend!

Hope you have a great day Kim. You can take the most simple things and inspire people. I love your blog, it's the first one I read in the mornings. Today I'm going to clean house, get a haircut and then work in my craft room. I have so much to do before the holidays get here.
Hope you have a blessed day.

Good Morning to you too Kim,
I will be spending my day at work and also commuting my (5.5 hours)round trip every day to get to work.
Yep, it's rise and shine for this working girl at 2.45am, leaving the house by 4am to start my commute and finely arriving at my destination no later than 6:30am. That's my life..
I am so lucky since I commute with my darling husband and we pick up our sweet daughter along the way (my daughter and I work at the same place) she just lives closer to work then we do, and we get to visit.
My husband and I arrive home at 6:00pm, so our days are always busy.
I love blogging and try very hard to post once a week.
Kim (what are you writing about?) I know, let me guess; (crazy girls that commute 5.5 hours to work and try to keep a blog going)...LOL
Have a sweet day and Big hugs, Elizabeth

Good morning everyone and Happy Birthday, Renee!!
Kim, your happy Fiesta ware always makes me wish I had some. Sigh! I need dishes like I need a hole in my head, and I love the dishes I have, but ...!
Your aprons and cheerful pot holders are so sweet, too.
Am cleaning house because a dear friend of 30+ years is coming to visit tomorrow!! We met when her youngest was 2 years old and my older son was 6 months old. What does that tell you? Please don't do the math, Yikes!!
Hugs!

What am I doing today? Relaxing!! My grandkids stayed with me for 3 days while my daughter was out-of-town for work...and yesterday we made Halloween cupcakes and cookies. They went home last night and I do miss them already, but I'm sure ready for some rest time for me.

There's nothing like some cheerful Fiesta Ware in the morning (or afternoon, or evening).
Today I'm dressing up like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for the kindergarten Halloween party. Yes, Toto is coming too. Tell Maggie not to be jealous--there's no doggie treats at our party!

Kim, I would love to have a cup of coffee with you in that gorgeous yellow mug! It's so important what we have our coffee in, isn't it?
I'll be working on art journaling today--what a kick! Eating is good idea, so I think I'll do some of that too.
Love to you, darlin"

Cute! Love your crocheted potholders. I sell a lot of them at my antique booth. Love your plate in the sink too. Guess one could say I love everything in your house. I am sanding on an old 1950's tea cart with two wagon wheels and rollers. Guess what color I am painting it? Red!!!! Couldn't remember if I told you, but I had a two piece corner pantry cabinet down at my antique booth, it was just a plain old wood stain for two weeks, brought it home and sanded and painted it red and it sold in one day! You are an inspiration! Decorating Diva! Cindy Okla P.S. thanks for all you pictures and your cute writings you send all of us. So much appreciated! Back to sanding!

What am I doing today.....well, after alot of coffee, I made a pot of wild rice soup and now will put together some Halloween treat bags for the kids I know I won't see on the 31st. I think winter is just around the corner here now so also need to bring in those pots of flowers that have so far braved the cooler fall weather. We had snowflakes in the air yesterday for a while.

Hi Kim! After a long walk with my friends, I took a shower, had breakfast and played my guitar. Now, it's to the studio to get some sewing done before my next show. Thanks for the cheerful wake up call! Have a great day. Hugs, Terri

Hello my friend,
I love all of your colorful kitchen wares. I notice that you have a cast iron sink, as do I, but I have broken and chipped so many of my new white dishes that I am so mad about ever wanting that sink. Do you break and chip everything? And if not, how do you prevent it?
What am I going to do today? Well, I have a very long list for today. The main things are cleaning my house, we will have company on Sat. for dinner and I can't imagine having anyone over if there is a speck of dust to be seen. So this old cottage has had a good going over today and will continue to until it is spotless.
I did decide I could stop to check out your sweet blog, though and I'm glad I did.
Love and hugs, Cindy

Even at Five P.M., after coming in from lunch and errandsout and about in the cold, I feel the tug of a sun-bright morning kitchen, which smells of coffee and welcome.
All your photos could be used for the front pages of cards---particularly invitations. Now I AM gonna go order those two mango mugs from Amazon!

Hi Kim - love your aprons and your potholders. Some of my aprons were made by my grandmother, some were my mother's and other I have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores and I feel the same way. Every time I look at them I wonder about the history. Who was wearing them and what were they cooking or baking. I LOVE them. My potholders were all crocheted by my mother who passed away 25 years ago this year. I still use them and think of her every time I pick one up.
Today I went to work ~ at the end of my day I LOVE visting your blog. Your pictures make me smile :)
((((Hugs))))
PS HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENEE

Love your blog and look for it every day. I live about 2hrs from you and always think of taking a trip to Lakeland. You help me stay grounded in my day to day life. I sew and sew all day and love to care for my home. My sewing is children's clothes for my grands and for sale. Susan

Oh, I just bought a set of Rogers silverplate Victorian Rose silverware at a local Antique shop. One salad fork is missing from the service for eight, but there are about 20 teaspoons and a sugar spoon and butter knife. I will clean them up and use them along with my sterling for Thanksgiving. No more stainless at the dinner table. Susan

Kim, you've been blessed with an eye for what matters in life -- the little things that are filled with charm. I am in love with Maggie. Where did you get her?
I'm going to spend the day, cleaning house and getting ready to begin a scrapbook for my new granddaughter (my only grandchild -- and she is gorgeous!) Her parents currently have her decked out in Giants gear for the SF GIants in the World Series. We are all Giants crazy out here!
