Beautiful Book!
Let Your Home Be Your Heart
- What I hope for my readers and for all keepers of the nest, is that they embrace their homes with their heart and all of the passion that it holds. I want them to know that they can decorate on a limited budget by seeing things in new ways; by rescuing the broken and transforming the ugly. I hope that they flaunt their favorite color and decorate their life with it. I hope that their homes feel like one giant hug that welcomes them each and every time they walk through their front door. More than anything I want everyone to have their own home-sweet-home dream come true! xo, Kim

Rule Book
Some of the "rules" that one may be told to "follow" when it comes to having and displaying books in your home:
1. Don't fan your books - stack them neatly.
2. Don't stack your books on tables - keep them on shelves.
4. Don't take the book jackets off.
5. Do take the book jackets off.
6. Don't use your books to decorate with.
7. Do use your books to decorate with.
8. Don't line them up in height order.
9. Do line them up in height order.
My little rule(s) or thoughts about having and displaying books in your home?
It's YOUR home and they are YOUR books. Read them, stack them, fan them, protect them, flaunt them, decorate with them, LOVE them. Period. The end.
Oh and then sit back and watch the sunlight dance on them too.

Happy To Be Hanging Out
Remember the little white pumpkins that I brought home from the grocery store?
Well I didn't eat them. And they are very happy to just be hanging out. They told me.
Yep. They did.
Really!
And speaking of hanging out - a little bit of sunlight was hanging out with the shower curtain and I'm so glad that I caught it ..
And because my back was REALLY sore I took a nice hot bath.
By the way, did you know this? Yes it is true...
Daisy soap makes everything better.

'Tis the Season
It's acorn season. They are dropping and dropping and I mean they ARE dropping. Everywhere. But they are cute. Well they are cute until you step on one in your bare feet. And this being Florida, it is STILL barefoot season. No matter that it is October - we hit 92 degrees today.
This little one seems to be enjoying its solitude ...
It also remains lizard season. It is lizard season every day of the year here. They are also everywhere. And yes Maggie keeps her hunting license current and EVERY day she goes out and tries and tries AGAIN to catch one.
Yes, there was a really BIG lizard sitting on top of this bench.
Maggie was hot on its trail ...
Unfortunately for her, but NOT the lizard, her plan of attack didn't quite pan out ...
You can't tell her though. In her doxie mind, she NOSE what she is doing.
