Big hairy deal. Who wants to sit on that ugly green sofa anyway? Mommy and Maggie can sit there all they want.
I'll sit here instead and wait on Shannon to wake up. She's nice to me. She lets me sit anywhere and she doesn't tell on me.
And I don't care how many times they call my name and BEG me to come down and sit with them - I'm not going.

Mommy went yard saling with my Aunt Jill. She came home with this green sofa. She said it was only $22. Actually she said it had been $50 but they marked everything down half price and so it was only $25 but all she had was $22 so she got it for $22. She said it was old and really really well made. She's all giddy about it.
But I don't know about this one. I mean it is really green. It IS comfy though. I always make sure to check that out. It is what I do.
Now she is moving everything around. She said my brother Marley got the yellow sofa too dingy and she didn't want that one any more. He sheds WAY more than me. She said that Marley was NOT allowed on this green one. EVER. She told me to let her know if he got on this one when she was gone.
Uh. Oh. Mommy doesn't know it but Marley always gets on the sofas EVERY SINGLE TIME THAT SHE IS GONE. He sleeps there the whole time. He hops down as soon as he hears that she is back. He said he would take my bone from me if I told on him.
And now Mommy just stubbed her toe big time while moving a chair. She keeps saying "Ouch!" and other words that she uses that I am so not allowed to say.
So I'm out of here ...
Welcome to my life.
Can I stay with you for awhile until she is done having her fun????

So my ladies' night was WONDERFUL. They came bearing flowers, wine, and Sangria.
They also brought smiles, laughter and sheer silliness. And they stayed late.
And they made a mess. And they .... well, never mind. What happens at ladies' night stays at ladies' night.
I LOVE my ladies. ;-)
Speaking of love, I love the meatball appetizer that I make in the crockpot. They are ALWAYS a hit and the easiest thing in the world to make. You probably make them too and I may have even gotten the recipe from one of you, but in case you haven't tried them, here is the recipe:
1 large bag of frozen Italian meatballs
1 jar of grape jelly
1 jar of chili sauce
Put the meatballs in your crockpot. Pour the jelly and chili sauce over the meatballs. Put the lid on. Turn ON your crockpot. (that is very important - trust me, I know) Let them cook for a couple of hours and then watch them disappear.

And speaking of crockpots - please share with me what is your FAVORITE thing to make in yours? Oh and maybe the recipe too? Pretty please with grape jelly and chili sauce on top? ;-) We may have discussed this before but again after four years of blogging I hope that it is okay if I repeat myself?

I'm hosting a ladies' event at my home tonight so I am cleaning and scrubbing away but I wanted to take a break and say hi and show you my $5 cotton dress that I found at a local thrift shop the other day! I will wear it with my red boots and red jewelry that I got at Goodwill. :-)

As I clean my porch and go back and forth with the soothing and very therapeautic motion of my porch broom, I think of you. As I hold the worn and familiar wooden red handle, I think of how you have been there. HOW YOU HAVE BEEN HERE. With me, in our home - some of you every day for the past four years. Some of you for a few moments in time. ALL of you are precious to me.
I honestly hope and pray that you know that. Yes.
As I share the tiniest of things - and some would say and have said the most mundane and tackiest of things - but I digress.. so yes, as I share the tinest and the BIGGEST of things to me with YOU.... I know that I am sharing with kindred loving spirits with hearts the size of our universe that blessedly are here with me. And I am with YOU. No matter how near or far - we are all here in this life TOGETHER.
And I love you.
So thank you. Sweep sweep. Breathe breathe. Sing birdies sing. We are SO listening. From my home and heart to YOUR home and beautiful AND oh so generous heart. You mean the world to me.
