Speaking of gardens, ours is thankfully surviving in our summer heat.
We are really blessed to have the gift of both the sun AND the shade to nurture our garden along.
And speaking of being blessed ...
Well, you know we are so very much with her ...
As I so am with YOU.
I hope you and yours have a beautiful weekend doing whatever it is that your heart wants to do. And may you enjoy the nurturing of both the sun AND the shade too.
xo,
Kim
We are getting the gift of low humidity this weekend, thankfully. Today a friend and I will venture to Hampton NH for the monthly Sage Farm Antiques Open House/barn. What a fun girly trip we will have.

Thank you, Kim,
You have a wonderful weekend, too. We are traveling to send a couple of days with one of our daughters. I can't wait!
Take care ~Natalie

Happy Weekend!
It's been a rough week so I am so looking forward to some time away from the office.
We are getting a break from the heat and humidity so I think I am going to travel a couple of hours west to the World's Longest Yard Sale, which runs from Michigan to Alabama along Rt. 127.
Enjoy your weekend! La

Good morning Kim. We had a good rain last night, first in a few months. We praised God for it. The high winds blew the last of our Bradford Pear trees down though. Those roots don't go far into the ground. Our weekend will probably be spent at a slow peaceful pace do to the fact we are getting ready for our annual "Gifts Galore on Highway 64", here in Arkansas. It's a big thing for us. I saw where La posted the "Largest Yard Sale" she was attending. I have always wanted to go. Maybe some day. Anyway, you have a wonder-filled w/end Kim. God bless!

I have just returned to work last week after a two week vacation and was quite busy getting caught up with emails etc.
This weekend I'm going to take it easy and just enjoy the weather, which is supposed to be very pleasant after all the heat we've had.
Have a good one Kim

It's only 68 here so far today, and the twilight yesterday felt tempered a bit, drowsing down into a clear warm night. I'd hoped to see the "three-planet confluence" but too many city lights prevented much looking. I DO hope the Dog Days are passing by on their way back to the kennel.
We'll be indoors mostly this weekend, I think, finishing up DD's bathroom before she returns from down your way---our older "girls" took all the kiddles to the beach house for a week and they can hardly tell it to us fast enough.
Sun and Shade to you, as well---and maybe a hunka chilly watermelon!

We have been blessed this summer in Southern California with mild temperatures. We've only had a week or two of really hot weather otherwise it's been in the 80's. Have a blessed weekend, Patty

It's HOT here! Wish we had some shade like you. Have a wonderful, blessed weekend!
I guess I could get in that pool in my backyard! ;)

A slightly cooler day here after a gully-washer of a storm last night. The thunder was amazing and the lightening was nearly non-stop. We're thankful for the rain and that it seems that all the trees are still up.
We're finishing the process of making cantaloupe jam today and I certainly wonder what it will taste like. If you haven't tasted Ambrosia cantaloupes, I recommend you grow some (too easy) and they are heavenly!
Tomorrow it's more peach preserves!
Hugs!

Dear Kim,
What a sweetie you have there...
We will be spending our weekend along the Cape Cod Canal...
I will be doing some handwork, sketching, and losing myself in a good book...Hubby will be riding his bike. It will be a glorious weekend.
I look forward to seeing/hearing what you do over your weekend...
Blessings,
Susie

Hi Kim! Glad to hear that you are surviving the heat. I mentioned you on my blog yesterday when I discussed my interview for Decor-Medley. I wanted to let my fellow bloggers know that YOUR blog has always been an inspiration to me. I visited you for quite a while before I decided to start a blog of my own. You are still an inspiration to me and to many others as well. Have a wonderful weekend!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

Beautiful pictures! Looks like you are managing to survive the heat! We are expecting rain here on Saturday. It hasn't rained in over a month. Most of the province has forest fires burning and the air quality is getting really bad. Yesterday was a beautiful day so I went to take a picture of the sunset. The sun was gone because of all the smoke in the air! Hope you have a great weekend! Sherri : )

95 here today in Mt.Pleasant, SC. I think we all have SAD, except opposite from the rest of the country in the winter. I think the heat index is 114 or so. It is so miserable. We are all praying for fall.

Happy weekend to you and yours, Kim. We are looking at a clear, dry, warm weekend here in New England. A break from the humidity is always nice. Our goal: Eat as much zucchini in as many ways as possible and deliver the rest to the gardenless.

This misunderstood cowgirl wants to ride a horse again and no one cares. Lifelong love, and it's all down in the gutter. :( Other than that, I'm just staying in trying to keep cool. I like your noticing the sun and the shade. Hope you have a good week ahead, Kim! :)

ooh if you could only bottle up and send me some of what is inside you , how you get up in the morning and see the world, it is how i would love to see things, feel things , i have been sick for 3 weeks and i have to say when i come in here i feel sad but yet hopeful that when this ugly ride i am on is through that i may gather from you an insight to see things more artfully, your bowl of cheerios is poetic, keep being you so those of us who visit may pray to gain a new view of things. kathy

Dear Kim,
I swear, when I die...I might just come plop my soul in your house for a little while. Take notes on what I want my house in heaven to look like before I truly depart. No worries, I won't haunt...I'll just have coffee ready in the morning. :)
Love,
Steph
