Let Your Home Be Your Heart

  • What I hope for my readers and for all keepers of the nest, is that they embrace their homes with their heart and all of the passion that it holds. I want them to know that they can decorate on a limited budget by seeing things in new ways; by rescuing the broken and transforming the ugly. I hope that they flaunt their favorite color and decorate their life with it. I hope that their homes feel like one giant hug that welcomes them each and every time they walk through their front door. Lunch Time

Thank you very much for sharing about your kitchen!  I am feeling so inspired from YOUR words and thoughts.  I picture you there and it makes me happy to envision you and your family embracing your daily rituals and that you savor each of them.  I wish that I could visit you in your kitchen and we could chat and chat and chat.  But I so do in my heart.

 

Speaking of kitchens, I've been cleaning mine today and I made tuna fish sandwiches for lunch AGAIN. 

 

This time I thought I'd share a sandwich with you.  It is the least that I can do after all that you share so generously with me.

Kitchen Conversations

What do you love about your kitchen?

Besides the most important things of course ... which is our bounty, family, friends, and memories.  And it is so true isn't it that everyone seems to gravitate to our kitchens? 

 

 

And what about your kitchen reflects you and makes it YOURS? What makes it a Sue kitchen or a Cindy kitchen or a Melissa kitchen or a Jan kitchen or a Mary kitchen or a Lynn kitchen or a Maria kitchen?

Is it your collections?  Your pots and pans?  Your cookbooks?  The aromas of your signature dishes?

As for me and my kitchen, my collections reflect me and then of course we have the colors.

I'll pour us a cup of coffee and you can tell me ALL about your kitchen.   Do you have a window?  Do you have fresh herbs?  Is there a kitchen table and chairs?  Do you leave things on the counters?  Is more more or is less better?  Do you have little lamps?  Do you have a pot rack?  Do you burn candles?  Do you have lots of cabinets?  Do you have a pantry?  And if so is it a mess like mine??????

 

I really love kitchen conversations, don't you?  Especially the ones that we share as we wash and dry.
