If you are looking for me, I'll be in the dollhouse.
Note that I said DOLLHOUSE, not DOG HOUSE ...
Although Maisy DOES believe that this is her house. ;-)
I've been cleaning the bedroom. It so needed it. Poor neglected dollhouse.
I fluffed the linens ...
And I dusted the coffee table ...
And I filled the pitcher with fresh water as I'm trying to drink more water every day ...
And now I think I'll curl up in the chair and read a book before I head into the kitchen ...
I so love my dollhouse. Even if it has been a wee bit neglected.
;-)

I love your doll house! The pictures are awesome! Growing up I never had a dollhouse and I always wanted one. I think I still do probably more than when I was little. I think my taste is better now than in the seventies!! Have fun playing! That's what keeps us young!!

What a fun thing to have :) I haven't had one for many moons but I think it's a great way to show creativity and what a better way to escape into our own little world once in awhile :) It is adoreable!! I just love waiting to see what you'll come up with next sweetie!

I totally love your dolls house. Is it possible you can share a few links of where you buy your goodies? I did get Dale's Etsy store through you and if you have any more. I do love those cute little books! The Maggie dog is wonderful too. I just did a post on my Blog about Australian artist Mirka Mora and her beauty tips. She is a big dolls house lover and she advises playing with them and sucking your thumb also for beautiful skin. She does it to trick her brain. And so playing with your dollshouse is not only good for your soul but also anti-ageing! xx

Yes... I so love your dollhouse as well. Neat, clean, and everything in its place. I find as I look at your wonderful pictures that your doll house matches daisy cottage so well. Detail, detail, detail a place for everything and everything in its place. Your wee little things are a sign of happiness and I want to thank you for bringing us such happiness looking over your pictures. Remember to drink, I have a hard time with this one

I would like to have had that size house to clean yesterday ;-). Then I would have sat in the gingham chair with May and read one of the books, feeling ever so cozy.

Seeing your dollhouse again makes me wish I had one too....it's been years and years since my sister and I played with our dollhouses. I'm glad to see you have a little dog to enjoy your dollhouse too.

How charming! Each and every color, accessory, and inhabitant are perfect in every way. Where is Alice's shrinking potion when you want it?!
Have you seen Colleen Moore's dollhouse - castle - at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. You should go or at least see the fairy magic on line.
Hugs!

Bright and cheerful and neat, like its occupant.
My own dollhouse, alas, has gone the way of the years, with naught to show save the tiny plastic "buffet" in a swirly brown "wood" finish, with a minuscule drawer which sticks halfway---just enough room to shake out the tiny birthstone ring which no longer fit my finger after I was ten.
The three hollow white plastic kitchen appliances---stove, fridge and free-standing cabinet-with-sink---live beneath a cakedome on the kitchen passthrough. There's a little rug on the floor, along with a minutely-molded rubber duckie and a tiny white red-rimmed baby potty; two blue spatterware pots sit on the stove, and a tiny white tureen and pitcher on the counter.
And, mirroring the tenor of our own household, the rest of the dishes, a skillet, some glasses, a plate---are all piled into the sink.

I love your sweet dollhouse so much! I have a little pink dollhouse, where Meg resides. I never had a dollhouse when I was little-- so I bought one about 2 years ago! It's never to late!

It's only right that a doll should have her own dollhouse :-)

your doll house is adorable.
The miniature dog is so detailed. The first time I saw it in a post I thought Maggie had a new friend.
I remember having a metal dollhouse that we put together.

Your dollhouse looks so familiar. Guess that's because it reminds me of your house photos.
Fluffing is a good thing...it adds good Chi.

Mine is super duper neglected too...I really need to work on it this month--still been busy arranging and re-arranging my 'real' stuff and have ignored my poor little dollhouse!
Have a wonderful day!

How fun, Kim! It must be a blast to play in your dollhouse. Sooo cute that its decor mimics Daisy Cottage.
I've been AWOL from blogging for several weeks, so I had to come by, catch up, and say hi.

what a great project, i wanted to thank you so much for your reply to my post and the most fab thing just happened my grandsons came after school and i was sitting on the couch with my 14 yr old and had the most awsome moment and you were there , i told him how i wanted him to start paying attention to the most littlest of things that make him feel wonderful, how sometimes we can go through the day looking for something to make us feel good when it is right in front of us, and i was reminded of what your told me, oooh seeds that are planted are good, thanks for the harvest that is going to be past on, Kathy

Kim~ Thank you! I've been going to get my Mom's doll house out and fixed up for the longest time. Looking at yours, and seeing the love you put into it is inspiring. I think I'm closer to an Open House.

Dear Kim,
I just wanted you to know that your blog is getting me through a very rough time. The music and colors of Daisy Cottage have been balm on my bruised soul. Thank you for creating a beautiful place to visit.
With Kindest Regards,

Kim, What fun you bring to so many ;-) I love the (mini Daisy cottage) The little dog looks so real. I never had a doll house, but my girls had two Barbie Dream houses and lived next door to each other in the play room. I loved making them look all pretty and have everything in its place before and after the girls had their play time. One can really get carried away to another world. I now play with my granddaughter with her doll house.
God Bless your creative soul, Melesa
