Hi Kim,
Those pink flowers are gorgeous! Hold on to your memories of your daddy. Hopefully that will help you get through the day. I will be seeing mine this weekend. We are traveling to Illinois. He has dementia so it's hard to see him that way but don't know how many Fathers Day I will have him so don't want to miss one.
700 posts?? Wow, that's a lot of blogging.

Celebrating you and the 700 positive, happy, colorful, encouraging posts you've sent out!!!! They are certainly bound to have had a good impact on worldwide karma!
My Dad has been gone 27 years and my mother has been gone almost 6 years. There is never ever a right time to lose a parent or an age you arrive at when it's easier. My AMIL lost her 96 year old mother less than 2 years ago when she herself was 78 and it was so hard.
Our crepe myrtles are beginning to bloom, too, and I love the watermelon color they have!
Hugs!

Kim, Congratulations on your 700th post! I have enjoyed every single one of them, and I anxiously anticipate a new one every day. I am sorry about your father. I lost mine March 29 of this year. I wish I could hug mine, as well. It will be a lonely Father's Day for a lot of people. Enjoy your weekend; however, and enjoy your beautiful flowers and doggies.

OMgracious 700 wonderful blogs. Since I have only followed you for a year, I am sure I have missed out on many beautiful things.
I miss my dad too. His mother died when he was very young. She had planted yellow roses behind their farmhouse that eventually turned wild,so this time of year he so enjoyed the wild roses that bloom alongside the country roads in the Palouse. They are in full bloom now and I am enjoying many pleasant memories of my great dad.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend with your dad or memories of one who has passed. Hugs, Judy

Happy 700th! That is quite an accomplishment - thanks for inviting us to come along for the ride!
Beautiful pics, Kim - such pretty blooms! One thing this little "bloom" has done to make my home uniquely "me" is to get brightly colored storage containers - in all my favorite colors - and put them out where I can use, see and enjoy them all the time. Do I care what others think? Nope, thankfully! ;-)
And I so wish I could hug my Daddy, too - but he is in Heaven. Sigh . . . Well, have yourself a wonderful weekend, dear!

I'm a bit sad to read that a lot of your friends will have to miss their father on Father's Day. For all my life I had to miss my biological father because he left me when I was a babygirl. But I'm very thankfull that my mother married the man that IS my father for a very long time now. I got a second chance and I'm very greatfull for that!Love,Nina.

Took grandson to Hastings yesterday to get a game. While he was looking, grabbed the 2010 Flea Market Syle Magazine to buy, sat looking at it, page 29 there you are! I said out loud, a little too loud, Daisy Cottage!! Several people looked at me funny, since I was setting at a table by myself. You are famous, you know! Happy weekend to you too. Cindy - Okla.

Hi Kim! I have been reading your blog for a long, long time now. I don't post often...don't know why really. But, like many other readers, reading your blog is like a hug from a friend, you can never have too many. The flowers on your pictures for this post brought back memories for me. We used to have an older couple as next door neighbors for years. They were like grandparents to me, since my own grandparents passed away when I was still a child. Anyway, the wife gave us a cutting from her own tree (the same one as in your photos but the shade of pink was lighter). The little plant grew until it got taller than our back fence. I always looked forward to watching it bloom. The old couple passed away several a little over 10 years ago, but I always had that tree and I would tell everybody the story of how I got it. I took such good care of my tree. It was the only thing that I had of them. Unfortunately, my tree dried up a couple of years ago and I have always regretted it so much! Looking at your photos was a bittersweet memory and I thank you for putting them up.

Congratulations on your 700th post! I look forward to each and every one. I was looking back at some of your posts, and in the 6th photo in your "Randomness" post on June 6th there is a crewel embroidery of a bouquet of flowers on the left side of the pic. When I was younger, I made that exact embroidery from a kit and gave it to my mom. It hung in her living room for years. She passed away last month and I don't know what ever became of it. I'd like to think it has found a home in your wonderful Daisy Cottage. Missing both my parents on Father's Day.

700th post, wow a mile stone and then some. I'm thinking that is a lot of ideas, thoughts, memories, feelings, emotion, new friends, forgotten loved ones, thifting finds, mirrors, did I mention memories that you have made. Sweet, Kim you are a true kindred spirit.
My son got hit on that motorcycle that is only two days old with only a two digit mileage on it.(tomorrows blog) I spent the day crying, my dad is still with us (dementia) but not in mind. He called me 4 times today as he forgot each time before he had called - It doesn't seem to matter, nothing does - as Matthew is ok this time. I've been blessed this Father's Day

I lost my Dad in '96. I'm always saying, "Dad would have love that" or "Dad would have loved this restaurant". But most of all he would have loved seeing his grandchildren grow up into fine adults and loved seeing his great-grandchildren.
