My chores are done. Now I think it is time to hang up my cute-as-can-be "Ingrid Apron" and have some fun! ;-)
Daisy Cottage is all tidy and clean. It is REALLY nice when your home is like that, isn't it? When every room is in order at the same time.
I don't know about you, but that doesn't ever seem to include closets. Sigh. My poor poor closets. I hope to introduce myself to them sometime soon.
;-)
I also hope you are able to have some fun this weekend - whatever that may be. I hope that is your happy reality.
As for me, I will be spray painting a mirror red and going to the The Fancy Flea.
And of course I will take you with me.
Can you do me a BIG favor? Pretty please with daisies on top?
Go here (click on the word here) and watch a friend's video that her beautiful daughter, Anna, made. Anna has diabetes. And if you are so moved, please select the "Like" option at the bottom of the video to help her win a contest that will benefit her immensely. That is all we have to do - click "Like" and we will have done a teeny tiny thing to help a young girl SO VERY much. And today is the last day that we may help her in this way.
THANK YOU.
xoxoxoxo
Love,
Kim
In my heart, I'll be at the Fancy Flea with you this weekend! In reality, we have a lot of kid's activities. The most fun is taking my daughter shopping for a dress for her spring dance which is just around the corner. We'll shop and stop for tea and chat and chat and chat and get caught up. LOVING that kind of a day. Can't wait to see your images ~ and I know they will be fun ~ of the Flea. Happy Weekend! xx P&H

What lovely pictures Kim. It always feels good when your house is clean and fluffed all at the same time. I know what you mean..my poor closets too! Like you, I will have to look inside and refresh soon. I stayed up late last night after work to clean my house and finish laundry before a wonderful thrifting-antiquing weekend. We are off in a few hours.
Have a great day at the Fancy Flea. Lots of pictures please - can't wait to see them

Good morning, Kim. Your kitchen looks so sweet. And what a great feeling to have a clean home. *SIGH* Mine needs lots of attention that I hope to be able to give it this weekend. But then again, our neighborhood is having a bunch of garage sales, so you know where I will be. Have a wonderful time at Fancy Flea. I can't wait to see the pix and hear all about it! Have a beautiful daisy day! (((HUGS)))

There is nothing better than waking up to a clean house! Wish it happened more often around here. hehe :) We're heading up to Amish country in northern Indiana with my parents this weekend. I can't wait to sink my teeth into some yummy fried chicken. :)
Have fun at The Fancy Flea! Sounds like a LOT of fun!!!!

* Shhhh...just between you and me, but my closets totally have a mind of their own. They tumble around and get it all kinds of crazy mess when I'm not looking. *
* I love your kitchen and the color of everything here. I feel so happy visiting. Thank you for the welcome feel you always give. :D

Looking foward to the photos from the Fancy Flea! Funny but when I read the pic of the flyer and saw Kentucky Avenue...for a second I thought it was nearby!! oh well, it's not! Have lots of fun! We have the Derby here tomorrow! after parties galore... need to venture into my very messy closet to find a hat to fancy up for the festivities!!

Oh, have a wonderful time at Fancy Flea! I'd love to go along with you IRL and look, imagine, and get ideas, but home is so very full with a bazillion books and inherited wonders, that I'd be unlikely to buy anything. What do I need? Bookcases and wall space!
Since I have lupus and it causes very annoying fatigue, I clean part of the house on Monday and part on Friday so it's seldom all clean at once.
Your home is so happily colorful!
Have a delightful weekend! Hugs!

For once in my life my closets are clean. I've been planning for a yard sale for a month, and then the monsoon season set in and it has rained every weekend in my area, so I sit in the middle of all my junk, thinking of my clean closets, waiting for the rains to stop and the sale to begin. Have a great weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend -- doing what you love -- "treasure hunting" and taking pictures. I'm looking forward to the pictures. As for me--no closets this weekend--I'll be enjoying the garden and sewing! And baking that cake!

I hear ya on the closets.....that's a rainy day project or two or three days!

I was happy to go over and watch the video and click on LIKE.
I developed Juvenile Diabetes in my 40s (which is rare). It affects every area of my life.
What a sweet and smart little girl! :)

Thank you so much for posting the link for my niece, the only caveat is that people have to log into a google or you tube account prior to pressing "like" in order for it to count. We didn't find this out until late in the game so thus far the majority of attempts to vote didn't count. I am so glad Susan introduced me to your blog, it's wonderful! So cute! Lenny looks like he's having a great time! LOL! Juvenile Diabetes is so sad! No child deserves that, and I hope a cure is in the future very soon for everyone who suffers from it. Lucky you to have a clean house! It feels like a huge weight has been lifted when things are in order! I hope you have a wonderful time at the Fancy Flea! Happy weekend!!

Hi Kim, After looking at your wonderful photos for so long thought I would say thank you for being a much looked forward to and cheerful part of my day. Your cottage is a wonderful place to visit and I often smile with a tear in my eye when you seem to reach right out to us from your blog. Keep the beautiful pictures coming. The world could do with more "Kims".

Kim, Beautiful pictures! I clicked on the link for Anna. She, Jane, and Lenny are adorable and taught me a thing or two about type 1 diabetes. My mother-in-law(who lives in Jacksonville, FL) has had diabetes since childhood, almost 60 years now. She is a go-getter, and as spicy as a southern, red-headed girl can be. She has lived up to all of those red-headed assumptions, let me tell you. Firecracker. I have a diabetic kitty too. I adopted her from the pound about 3 years ago. They did not know she was diabetic and we only recently diagnosed her. I give her 2 shots a day. She is a little thing and won't tell anyone how old she is. So, I think I got a great deal, for just a little money, unbeknown to us, I adopted a little princess diva of pedigree I am sure. She does rib me once in awhile...that I adopted her for her money and her stature though.

Also Kim, I have a giveaway going on through this weekend till May 5th. It's an apron from a Fair Trade company that you or one of your readers would love, I'm sure.... just wanted to pass this along.
Take care sweet Kim, I hope you have a great time at the Fancy Flea! xoKelly

On my way out but had to check in at Daisy Cottage first. Our week-end looks pretty ordinary at this point. You never know though, that could change at any moment. I look forward to the Fancy Flea with you.
I "liked" Anna's video. Very good!

Ah a clean home... how wonderful! It lowers the stress, doesn't it?
I soooooo wish that I was closer to Lakeland to be able to attend the "Fancy Flea"!! How fun, but alas I am here in Indiana still looking for my Aunt Dot's new digs...ha ha
The weather here is unusually balmy in the upper 70s, which is funny as we had frost the other night. That is Indiana weather tho'!
I am happy to help Anna and will look at the video in a moment.
I have an autoimmune disease and Type 1 diabetes is also an autoimmune disease. Any help finding cures for any of the autoimmune diseases with benefit all of us.
As always...thank you for you and your support! Looking forward to the FF photos...(say that 10 times fast.. ha ha)

Oops, meant to mention that Aunt Dot and my Uncle Gene were originally Hoosiers (from Indiana) but when they retired they moved to Beverly Hills, Fl. My parents actually wintered in Sebring for nearly 15 yrs. Neither are too far from you, are they?
Hugs again!!

I can't imagine a house that is clean all at the same time!! Every time I get one room done, my younger ones undo what I did...LOL! Having 5 kids can make it hard to get it clean all at once, but we manage. I think I will have to start taking photos of the rooms done, hang them up and have some proof I actually did clean!! :0) As always, your pics are beautiful!! If my house looked like yours, I would have more fun cleaning it...!! ;0)

Hi Kim
I just took a break from my house cleaning to see how you are doing and found that you were doing the same thing. Yes, my cupboards are usually neglected as well. I think that has to be done on a rainy day.
Have fun spray painting & also at the Fancy Flea.

Hi Kim, What sweet children. They definitely got a "like" from me. Regarding an orderly home, I have been away for 4 and a half weeks (going home Tuesday) and I can't wait to see the order my home is in! Poor hubby is a great hubby, but not too good at housekeeping! I only have two weeks of school left, so I can't wait to tear my place apart (including closets! Have a delightful weekend at the Fancy Flea!

Hi Kim, today we are celebrating my daughter Shannon's birthday (9) with strawberry pie and apricot-crumble pie,mmm delicious!I didn't make them myself, because my oven doesn't work anymore, but Shannon and I went to the baker and she chose her favourite pies. It's beautiful weather and I hope we can sit in the garden this afternoon.
So...the last couple of days I cleaned the house and tried to keep it tidy for today!I really enjoy it when our house is clean but with two kids it is also difficult to keep it that way...Well, it doesn't matter 'cause I want my children to be happy!Wish you a very nice weekend too and of course lots of sun!Love, Nina.

Anna and her sister are just beautiful. They did a great job with the video. I'm so impressed. They are so young - and so talented!
Well. I wish I could say that my house was in place. I've been working on a big project at work, and my house is suffering. My husband is in the middle of a big project, too. I am very thankful that he has not expenctations of the house always being neat and tidy. Tonight we had dinner and watched some fun t.v. instead of cleaning up. It was nice.
HOWEVER - I DO plan to tidy up the house eventually ;-)
