Saturday was such a NICE day. Was it nice for you too? I hope so. The sun was shining and it wasn't too hot and the light from the day was just right. Everything is so pretty here at this time of year. A season to savor, indeed.
I cleaned up a little and played house and happily showered Daisy Cottage with love by treating her to all of my treasures from you. I planted more dishes and added a few cottage signs to our garden. AND I even read a few magazines on the swing too. ;-)
Sigh. I love playing house.
But you, my friends, already knew that.
xo,
Kim
Wow...looks so lovely! Beth

I love the idea of "planting dishes"! Could you post a pic of your entire dish planting? It's something I'm considering but am not sure how Mr. BH will like it. Your cottage always looks so friendly and inviting. Just love visiting--thanks for having me.

Had a great day, too.............got house ready for a ladies spring brunch today (Sunday.)
I decided to go with color versus my normal pastel spring pallette. Kim, you are rubbing off on me, haha.
Looks great, starts in a while and thought there is nothing I would rather do to change my mood to joy than logging onto Daisey Cottage. Thanks Kim for all your happy inspirations.
Love your new pics - the dishes in the garden is such a unique idea!

I love your little dishes in the garden too. I like to collect them and hang them on the wall. Each one has a sweet personality all their own.
Take care ~Natalie

What a lovely and whimsical post. Just brings smiles to the face and heart. Love to come visit to see your wonderful photos...
Wish I could come and visit down there...
I love to play house too...
It is a "happy place" to go to when there is time just to putter and think only smiling thoughts and put your "vision" ideas into working vignettes and settings.
Makes that feathering the nest just delightful! HUGS for a great Sunday. Thanks for your blog to visit daily. It is a treat.

Love the dishes you planted! Will they grow? Oh, of course they will - they will multiply and each one will be as beautiful as the others. ~Adrienne~

Everything looks so pretty. Love the dish idea! I wonder if my hubby would let me do that?!

So pretty! I love the roosters! I did a post not too long ago on roosters in my kitchen! A real passion of mine! LOL! You're so luck to be out in the garden in warm sunshine. Typical Vancouver style we had rain on Saturday! So I made a nice dinner! Just popping in with my cup of tea and then heading out to do a Walk for MS this morning in honour of a girlfriend. We have a little sun so hopefully it stays for a few hours: ) Beautiful pics! Have a great Sunday ! Sherri

We had a lovely Saturday here as well, Kim. I took advantage of doing some outdoor gardening since rain was in the forecast today {and they were actually right}. Today I'm hoping to get some sewing in.

Hello Kim,
Your photos are always so beautiful. I have some planted dishes too! Hope your Sunday is a good day as well. ;)

My mom and I are having SUCH a LOVELY time on our trip....meeting beautiful people, tasting new and delicious foods, laughing and loitering....over flowers, houses, lattes and....WHATEVER we want to, which makes it the most special. The place we stayed last night is called Anchuca, a Choctaw word meaning HAPPY HOME. That SURE applies to Daisy Cottage! Enjoy the rest of the weekend! xx P&H

Its nice to see the chickens at home!
I've had plates in a row around a flower bed for a while, but now, my grand daughter has discovered them and wants to sneak them out to play tea party with!
Posted by: Karla Nathan | April 25, 2010 at 11:25 AM
Are the dishes going to produce a crop of tea cups and saucers? LOL! ;)
I love Saturdays, I slept in very late, it was great and then spent the rest of the day making minis. :)
I love all of your red and yellows. So bright and cheery. :)

Lovely Saturday here with sunshine, a sparkling clean pond, a puppy to babysit, growing chicks and not much pollen. My kind of day :)

How delightfully charming!!
I have two old iron roosters that my mother had hanging on her wall when I was little, her ceramic "Alex" and "Elizabeth" rooster and hen, and her set of Metlox Red Rooster dishes. She was before her time.
Playing house is fun!
Hugs!

I am glad that you had such a wonderful Saturday. We participated in a 5k race to benefit a no kill animal shelter. The weather wasn't the best, but we still had a good time and what a wonderful cause.
I love all of your pictures! I hope you Sunday is going as well as your Saturday did!

I love the little chicken sticks for decoration - you should make some cute cupcakes and use them!
I like puttering around the house. I'm finally making plans to make our house our own. We've lived there for a few years now - and we haven't done a thing to personalize it. SO...it's time. time indeed. Let the projects begin!

WELL, I will be a monkey's uncle! I never thought about planting dishes, but what an extraordinary idea! I love dishes. I love my garden. Therefore, I SHOULD have made that connection before. As usual, your house is fantabulous.

I just love your hearts! I've never thought of planting dishes! The first time I read your post, I did a double take. I thought I'd read it wrong. They look really cute. I spent my weekend dyeing wool I got at the thrift store. I've got lots of wool applique projects planned! I'm glad you had a productive weekend! Hugs, Terri

Your Saturday sounds delightful as were the pictures. My Saturday was a nice day too. I was preparing for Sunday. I love seeing our home through the eyes of another. I can over look a lot with my eyes. After sprucing up I planned, shopped and chopped. You all know the routine.
My favorite today was the basket in the kitchen. So pleasing to look at!
Peace!
