Do you see the church steeple? I LOVE that church steeple and I really love that I see the top of it from my front porch. And of course this is my neighborhood lake and yes you and I have been to this lake before. But that's okay - we haven't been here TODAY.
One lovely little lake.
A home sweet home to precious life galore.
What a gift to those of us who take the time to explore!
Yes this is just one little lake that exists in our one VERY LARGE world.
Yet it is truly one of a kind as there is no other lake exactly like it. No other lake with its location, its shape, its vegetation, its residents, or its soul.
Now isn't that amazing when you really think about it? One lake: A body of liquid, surrounded by land that is supposedly temporary and will eventually fill in one day with sediments or spill out of the basin that contains it. I really hope that doesn't happen - even if it does say that it will here.
So a gift for us indeed. Thank you for taking the time to visit the lake with me.
And may we never lose sight that we are ALL one of a kind.
One lake. One you. One me.
xo,
Kim
I love your steeple and your lake! I live in a town way up North, USA, that also has a beautiful steeple and is on a lake. I never tire of its various moods....sparkling on sunny days, dark and foreboding on gloomy ones....and even when it is frozen SOLID and covered with snow in the winter time. And of course, all of it's little inhabitants. Right now the Canadian Geese are nesting and soon we will see their babies waddling along after them. Same thing, this time every year, but I never grow tired of it! Thanks for sharing your lake!

What beautiful pictures. We live near the lake but too far to walk. We love driving along the winding road next to the lake in the Summertime..catching a glimpse of the Canadian Geese and the Herons. The Church Steeple must be wonderful to gaze upon at different times of the day.
Thanks for sharing those wonderful pictures of your lake and your steeple.

Pretty & Peaceful!!! I love your view of the steeple, and all of the beautiful animals and plants around your lake.
I have to admit that I have a little envy in my heart this morning. But, then again, I think we should all bloom where we are planted!

I loved visiting the lake with you! I will go any time you want. I love the picture of the steeple too. It looks great! All of the pictures were wonderful.
It is true we are all unique, and none of us are alike. So many times people think they have to fall into a certain category. It is nice to be reminded that different doesn't mean bad. In fact, I think different means special.
You are very special! I hope you have a great day!

What a beautiful lake! It looks like you live in such a beautiful area. Love the small town feel with the church steeple, cute little coffee shop, and to have a lake right in the middle of those beautiful heritage style homes is just the icing on the cake! Have a great Wednesday Sherri : )

I live in Pennsylvania and can also see a steeple from my front porch. It brings me peace and a feeling of stability. Isn't it funny so many miles apart but having the same focal point from our porch. I read your blog everyday and it always makes me smile and now even more like we are neighbors. Thanks.

Hello Kim!
I smiled really big when I opened up your pictures today.
This is the very thing that I love to do...walk around my city and take pictures of it just being who it is...MY city.
I am very new to the blogging world...and don't have it all figured out just yet...but I do know that all I really need to do...is just be ME and the blog will be just fine.
I love beauty...nature, in it's natural state...it is so amazing and cries out to us to simply take the time...to enjoy and cherish it each and every day.
Thank you Kim...for treating us with your pictures and sharing your city...your little part of the world...with us....it is a beautiful place to live!
Take care,
Suzy

Oh Kim, thans for showing us your pictures. DH drove me around the lake and it was something to behold. I know why you love your lake and your town. Its a magical place to live - the swans, flowers and birds simply take my breath away. I love it there and wished I could be a part of that lifestyle. However, I think its too late for DH and me due to our age, finances and health issues. I love it so - I feel like I viewed a "little slice of heaven." Thanks again.

Lovely! I once read something that returns to my mind from time to time:
"God has two home, one in heaven and the other in a thankful heart."
Your appreciation of the natural world and creatures surrounding you is a gift. Thank you for opening our eyes to see what you see.

How beautiful, Kim! The steeple is so
pretty. Your hometown looks like such
an inviting and peaceful place to live.
I love the lake, the flowers, and all
the water fowl. Pelicans are my favorite.
Unfortunately, here in middle TN we don't
have very many of them! LOL! I am not a
"hot weather" person but I believe I would
actually enjoy living in your area with all
it's beauty.

Kim,
You are so lucky to live where you live. I would love to visit Lakeland. I live here in Long Beach NY. Right down the street from my house is the Atlantic Ocean. I can see it from my front porch. I can't believe how lucky I am to get to look at that beautiful sight everyday.I think there is beauty in everything if we take the time to look for it. Somethings are more obvious than others but it really is true "There's no place like home". Thanks for sharing your hometown with us.

Kim,
What a beautiful lake!! You live in such a pretty area! Love the black swan! I wish sometimes that I lived closer to the water. But since I don't...we take a lot of day and weekend trips to lakes in our state and to states that are close by.
Thanks for showing us your lake in your home town.

Kim,
One of my favorite posts you have ever put! Of course, I love the ones of your home, your activities and precious, beautiful Maggie, but these photos are just amazing! I can definitely tell you have been practicing with your camera. This post just so magnificently show God's creation and your description of the lake and the creation (and even us being one of a kind) so glorifies Him! Love you! Kimberly ♥

Don't you love how there are so many things of beauty all around us--such as your lake and its inhabitants--to appreciate? Sometimes just taking a look--an intentional look--at the world around us is enough to inspire us and fill us with joy and wonder. Blessings to you!

Hi Kim, your pics are beautiful and amazing! I love all the lakes and water we have in Florida. I have driven by
"your" lake many times and visited Munn Park and all the lovely shops that surround it. Thanks for sharing. As a child, I lived directly across the road from a white country church with a steeple and always loved it. It was surrounded with a grove of maple trees!
Have a wonderful day!
