I'm so excited because it is almost time for The Fancy Flea!!
I stopped by Lori's house yesterday to take a few photos of one of her pretty buffets and a few other goodies that she will be bringing to The Fancy Flea this coming Saturday.
Lori will also have all kinds of brightly painted furniture for sale - including a tangerine vanity and matching stool; a baby pink dresser with matching nightstand; a tall dresser painted in mustard yellow; a red buffet; a light blue French writing desk; a painted in white child's desk with built-in message board; vintage magazines; assorted china; chalkboards galore; vintage clothes; shabby chic lamps; antique mirrors, and a medley of other fabulous finds and soon-to-be-treasures for lucky flea shoppers!
And that is just what Lori will have on hand. Erica - the talented one who bakes my adorable daisy sugar cookies and cupcakes for me and who is also a Fancy Flea girl will be bringing garden furniture; vintage linens; glassware and other delightful finds. There will be many vendors there with vintage jewelry, plants, herbs and flowers, antiques, homemade jellies, handmade soaps, original art work, scrapbooks, wreaths, home decor, and MORE.
AND she will be there and she will be there and she will be there and she will be there and she will be there and she will be there!
I will be there too. :-)
While Lori and I lunched in her lush cottage garden ...
These two babies came over to say hello. They were born underneath Lori's house five weeks ago.
Welcome to the world little ones!
They were soooooooooo sweet. Hmmm - maybe they should be named Fancy and Flea???
So after I finished taking the photos ...
I wondered if Miss Maggie would let me bring home little Fancy ...
And then I remembered that Miss Maggie doesn't like kittens. Or cats. She doesn't like them at all.
Nope. Not at all.
Mean Maggie.
Sigh.
I hope so much that if you live nearby you can come join us at The Fancy Flea this Saturday! We have so much fun. It is being held in MY beautiful downtown and there will be plenty to do and see. And if you do come by, please say hi. I would absolutely LOVE to see you.
xo,
Kim

Oh how I wish I could be there. Sigh...I'll just have to settle for all of the wonderful pictures I know you will take and share with us.
I am however, looking forward to our trip on May 1 to a place called Aberfoyle, Ontario. The antique market's opening day is May 1 and my hubby and I will be there. 30 acres of antiques and fabulous finds. I can't wait!
Have a great day!

Sounds like a wonderful that you'll have at this Fancy Flea!!! Wish I lived nearby, or close enough to hop on a plane for it... S. Korea is a bit far!

Hi sweets......looks YUMMY!! Wish Lakeland wasn't a several hr drive from Miami or you KNOW that I would be up to shop! ~xoxo~ Janet

I, too, wish I lived in the vicinity. I really enjoy your photos Kim, and wish you could come and redo my whole house. My heart lives in an old two story house full of character, but in reality I live in a ranch that I'm determined to give some character to. I'm trying to practice contentment where I'm at. But thanks for your lovely scenes that I look forward to each morning.

The Fancy Flea sounds like so much fun....we have nothing like that here so it's so much fun to see your photos....what a treat! Kittens are so sweet....but Maggie probably doesn't want to share. Judy

Hi Kim, I would love to come to the Fancy Flea it sounds wonderful but I live to far away and you can't get on a plane out of Australia for the next 2 weeks because of the backlog of people from the vulcano in Iceland. But not to worry I know that you will have a great time. Have a great day. Trish xox ;)

Kim,
I'm sure you notice that almost every post has the word "WISH" in it!! That's one of your great talents, I think---you kindle wishes. And dreams.
The outing and the entire day sound wonderfully fun, with all that creative air and the beautiful treasures.

I so wish I could come to this, Kim. It sounds like there will be something for everyone! I know you will have lots of pictures. Can't wait!!

I will be shopping with you in my heart Kim. I noticed that the address reads Kentucky Ave. so since I'm from KY you'll have to think of me when you are there. Daisy Mae said to tell you that she does not like "puddy's" either. There is one that visits her while she is sunning by the sliding glass doors in the afternoons. And it drives her nuts! Is it a Doxie thing? Who knows? LOL Love you muchly! Robyn and Daisy Mae

Oh I'm so so so sad!! Did I hear a tangerine vanity??? I will have to live vicariously through your photos:(

Have they perfected the Dorothy method of transportation yet? If only I could click my heels together, I would be there for sure. While we are at it, could you please pop those little kittens in an envelope for me...I would love to have them live in my home...our Pixie will be very nice to them,

I wish I could drop everything and go to Florida! I could even visit my family in West Palm Beach (after the Fancy Flea, of course). But, I can't make it. :( Have a wonderful time and please be sure to show us the goodies you bought.

I wish that Fancy Flea could be here in my city! It looks like just my kind of happening. The turquoise chest is so me.
Those kitties are too cute -- and "Fancy: is good. Maybe not "Flea" though!

I could spend the day on your blog and the wonderful photos you take of home interiors and all things delicious! Love the music, too.
Wish I could be there on May 1st. Sigh!
Remember this poem?
The trouble with a kitten's that
All too soon it becomes a CAT!
We have two cats, so I can talk. Our Tom used to look like Fancy but he's now Tub o'Tom or Ton o'Tom!
Hugs!

I do wish so much that I could be there at the Fancy Flea!!! Oh well, maybe next year. I love Lori's painted furniture. That is my love. Right now I am working on a dining room table and chairs that I bought for only $26 for the whole set at my favorite thrift store. I can't believe it!!! I'm so excited!!!
Thanks for the daily dose of inspiration. You are my favorite blog!

I would love to be at the Fancy Flea but live out of state. Way out. I have the same wrought iron chairs (black)that your friend has in her garden but mine are in white. I've been thinking about painting them and the black looks beautiful. Hmmm.

So many adorable, beautiful, cute, delicious and precious things to feast my eyes on. Love the hardware on the chest and the fat white chicken on the chair. The kittens are as cute as they can be. I am remembering last years photos you took at the Fancy Flea. Lakeland, FL is a lovely place.
Hope the weather is pleasant.

The kittens are so cute. But I'm glad they're only on my computer screen, my eyes would be swollen and red if they were any closer! I am so darn allergic to cats.

Oh Kim you have to come to my blog and see the little kitten we found Sunday. We brought her home and she is our baby! Our dachshund is 15 and is not too happy about it. Our lab thinks she's the mama. It's the most precious thing you've ever seen.
