It doesn't take much.
A back porch and a quilt will do.
And of course coffee. Ahhh coffee. How I love thee.
Add some toasted raisin bread dappled with a little pat of butter or two ...
And a bucket of daisies ...
And don't forget my sweet baby ...
And I have myself a little bit of bliss.
Actually a whole lot of bliss.
Now, what is the one word that I would use to describe myself? Well gosh that is hard! There are so many that I could choose. YOU did great. I loved reading the word that you chose.
LOYAL. That would be my word.
So you know what that means, right?
You are stuck with me.
Love,
Kim

Kim, I instantly became a "loyal" fan the minute I clicked onto your blog. As a young child, in Sunday School, we often sang the song... "in my heart there rings a melody, there rings a melody"... I am reminded of those precious words, when I come to visit each morning... with coffee in hand.
Posted by: sheri | March 18, 2010 at 10:10 AM
Good morning Kim! I just wanted to stop by and say a hello to you. I enjoy reading your blog every morning. It makes my day just a bit brighter than before I found your blog. :o) I hope you have a wonderfully beautiful sunny day!
By the way, Maggie looks very at home on the quilt, I'm sure if she is anything like my puppy she spends a lot of time on it. :o)
Posted by: Nicki | March 18, 2010 at 10:16 AM
I agree, you are loyal. But, you are also cheerful, friendly, sunny, fun and creative. All of the qualities we bloggers admire! I also have one word that is especially appropriate to describe Miss Maggie: PRECIOUS!
Love,

These pics are so charming!

I'm not sure which looks more inviting, the quilt or the raisin bread...

Ah... I'm loyal, too. It's a good word. :)
Bliss, my husband and I used that word instead of love. ;)
We inscribed our wedding rings in secrecy and guess what? We both had bliss inside our wedding bands. :)

Kim, I love being stuck with you, because you are one of the first things I go searching after when I get on the computer. I am always excited to see what you have posted, and I am saddened and disappointed when there is nothing new from you. You have inspired me to do so much -- paint my kitchen yellow, start my own blog, go more to the church thrift shops down the street, etc... Loyal is a great word, and it is a great choice for you - but I think you are just as inspirational and kind as you are loyal. :)
Enjoy your day.

Nothing like a quilt and a puppy doggie to have some bliss!! I'm actually sitting on the sofa with a quilt...and my little Yorkie girl "Chloe" is sleeping on it beside me. Ahhh....Bliss!!

Kim,
I would never describe spending time with you as stuck! I am glad you are so loyal to all of your readers, because I love visiting you and Maggie at Daisy Cottage. Your lovely yellow(my favorite color) home, music, photographs and priceless advice on decorating keep me coming back for more. You make me feel like I am right there with you. I do not know how you do it. I love it and it draws me back to visit so often. I am "CARING". I care so much for my friends and family. I will do anything that I can for them, to make sure they are safe and happy, and of course my cat, Oscar. Have a great day.

Lovely loyal Kim, what could be a happier thought. Thank you for cheering so many of us so much, you have a great gift of imparting happiness.
I love the quilt, I don't suppose you know where I could get a similar one do you? I'm in the U.K. we aren't very good at quilts here and i do so love them.
Posted by: carole | March 18, 2010 at 06:33 PM
Loyalty is a wonderful quality to have. I absolutely LOVE bundling up in a blanket and coffee and going outside on one of those mornings where it's chilly but you know it could get warm any second. Right now, I'd call myself jealous.
Posted by: Lauren LeJeune | March 18, 2010 at 06:39 PM
I have Huey Lewis' song in my head that goes "Happy to be stuck with you...." Yup, happy, happy, happy! I'd be more happy to be sittin' on your back porch having coffee with you and Maggie dear.
((hugs))

Dear Kim, that is my idea of bliss too. I love the daisies. We recently got married and my daughter Daisy carried Daisies and wore a lovely Daisy hairpiece.
Sadly a few days after the wedding we lost our beloved old dog who died at 16 years. The loss has been crushing. Treasure those sunshine hours with Maggie. xx
