Your hearts for Jack have been arriving in my mailbox.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I am keeping your hearts safe and sound here at Daisy Cottage until I mail them off to our Jack. Remember you have until March 31st to send your heart if your heart so desires. Remember, too, that it is okay if you do not sew. Neither do I. I will probably hot glue mine together. IF you emailed me for my mailing address and I did not answer, then unfortunately that means that I didn't get your email in my Inbox so PLEASE try again. Thank you for your patience. If I receive an email from you, I promise that I will ALWAYS answer it.
I will share EACH heart that I receive for Jack on my blog with all of you right before I mail them to him. So far, they are all absolutely precious. Of course they are - they are of you! They are unique and as lovely as can be. As I admire each one, I get teary, for what your hearts represent make these handmade treasures the most beautiful gifts in the world.
I AM going to share one heart now, however. As you know, this loving idea bloomed from Tammy's heart. She created a heart for Jack and she also generously created one for me. I want to share that one with you now (I will share the one she made for Jack when I share all of yours) because without her wonderful idea, this project would not be happening.

Swoon.
Thank you Tammy. I LOVE IT.

I also received in the mail the CUTEST red cabinet for my dollhouse!
I purchased it from our Dale who has the cutest things in her Etsy shop. I wish you could see this cabinet in person. A D O R A B L E.
As you can see, I love moving things around in my dollhouse just like I like to do in my real house. And speaking of my real house - can you guess what color I will be painting these mirrors?
Oh so fun. Many of you have written me to tell me that you have treated yourself to a dollhouse too! I'm so happy! They are delightful, aren't they?
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for sharing your days with me. Thank you for sharing your hearts with all of us. Thank you for all of the love that you give back to the world.
Love,
Kim

You have got to be one of the most caring and wonderful people I have ever met in our blogging world. You bring tears to my eyes so often as I read your Blog or see your photos of the day. You, make my day. What a wonderful thing you are doing for Jack. I hope I can get a heart together for him. Meantime, I have been ill all week, so I am getting very little done, just taking care of me for now.

I'm not doing this for Jack - WE are doing this for Jack.
How sweet and kind are YOU?
Feel better soon. I'm sick too. Let's sniffle together.
Love,
Me

How could this post not have a million comments by now. I missed the first instalment of hearts for Jack. Oh what a wonderful idea. Tammy is a genious, your amazing to put it all together. I lost a spouse in my middle 30s so I understand his pain. Life does go on and these hearts will help Jack move through the loss.
Your doll house is adorable the red cabinate too cute, and those tiny books too. do you think the mirrors ought to be red, maybe, I know it's not something you would have thought of on your own he he he.

Hi Kim,
My heart is on the way! I can't wait to see all of them.
Your new furniture for the dream dollhouse is adorable, I am so ready to start a renovation on the one Santa brought my daughter a few years ago. I play with it more than she does! I've got some big ideas for it, and then I want to move in to it!!
Hope you feel much better soon. Have a great weekend.
XO

Kim, the hearts for Jack was such a lovely idea, I cried when I read that entry.
The hutch looks so cute in your setting. I love the ottoman and are those slippers sitting there on top? Too cute, all! :)
Thank you, for all that you do. :)

Hi Kim, somehow I missed your original Hearts for Jack post. Having lost my dear Vann from cancer in September, my heart is full of love and compassion for Jack, although I don't know him personally. It's such a sad journey, and I want to make a heart for Jack. I had your address at one time but might not still have it. would you e-mail me at
[email protected] with the mailing address? Thanks.

I did receive your Yahoo email. Thanks so much!
Tammy's heart is just adorable. She is so talented.
I just love all of the details in your dollhouse. How fun! I think I'll be on the lookout for one myself. I could use some more creativity and playfulness in my life! It's good for a soul!

How I have enjoyed these first few pages!! The wee books upon the bathroom chair, the impossibly-small REAL bathroom tile, the bright yellow house---how could one NOT be happy in such a cheery place?
I got so carried away with the pages of Stevenson that I had to go take down a volume and read for a while---I've been immersed in Minnie and The Flowers (I think I'll use that in a Wishing-for-Spring post in my blog soon).
I followed you from Backyard Neighbor, and now you're in my favorites list---I'll be back soon.
rachel
And now you're playing A Summer Place---makes me smell the chlorine and feel the smooth water of Eight O'Clock PE in college---they played that while we swam, to make us graceful.

Hey, Kim! One suggestion for your doll house: drink lots of Champagne! The wire twist tops make fabulous little French style stools for the boudoir mirror and soda-fountain type stools for the patio! I am a long time miniatures-dreamer-reconvertor from my humble roots. Champagne on a beer budget style....always!
I used to save wood chips from my Dad's workshop, chomp them up and paste fake "album" covers from those record club advertisements in the magazines, and book covers from the book clubs to make my own little books and albums....
It is so much fun to make that stuff.
But I LOVED your Valentine's Gift Box from "Mr. Valentine".
Hope it was really LOADED! Did they have a picnic too? ;)
Renninger's was soooooo much better this time than January. I tried to take some photos of RED things for you, alas, my trifocals fought against my digital camera and we shall see.....Fifi would have loved the abundant French influence there....Mount Dora is finally getting French. No chili there, but the corndogs were FABU!!!!
Have a warm week. Rhonda

Aw, I'm so glad you like my little heart, Kim and thank you everyone for your compliments. Can't wait to see all the wonderful hearts going to Jack...and, so many beautiful words written by all to help console him in his loss...it shows what loving hearts there really are out there & that we aren't alone.

Ok, I have to ask you, where on earth do you find all of the things for the dollhouse that you find just like your big house? I am in awe! That hutch is fabulous!! Did you get the mirrors on etsy, too? Can I just shrink down in size, like Honey I Shrunk The Kids, and move in? I'd keep it clean, promise!
xoxoxo you dear friend,
becky
