That's it.
I'm going to make my bed today and get dressed.
And maybe spend some time in the fresh air.
But first may I say that your crush stories were the best medicine - ever.
I read each one all day yesterday. YOU ARE THE BEST. You share SO beautifully. Thank you. And darn those crushes who let YOU get away! They don't know what they are missing.
Speaking of missing - I've got a day to catch and HOPEFULLY a soup to make.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend dear ones. Please stay warm and stay WELL. I don't want my favorite crushes to get sick.
Love,
Kim
*Edited to add that ...
I did it! I got dressed, drove to the store, and came home and made Kathy's Chicken Soup!!!
I've never made homemade chicken noodle soup before.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Blogland. What a wonderful place to be. Thank you Miss Kathy!
Oh and by the way - THIS really IS M'm M'm Good!

Dear Kim - It seems you are feeling well again. So glad to hear it! I'm at home making soup today too. Mine will be beef and barley. I'd be making chicken too except I still don't feel well enough to get out to the store. So I will be home reading your blog and others until I'm "up and at em" too. Hugs for you and Miss Maggie.
Love,
Susan and Bentley

Hey Chick!! Glad you feel better and I gotta tell ya....you nailed the shot of your books and pitcher! Very nice. Looks like you've got your new camera settings down pat!! Was that SOC.straight out of camera? Or did you use a filter on it?
Love It!!!

When you feel ready to make your bed, you're ready to get out of it. But don't rush things now. Chicken soup will right most things of course. Now Kim, we've got to start thinking of planting season. I take it upon myself to worry about lots of gardens. And I don't want you to think you're not a gardener. There's probably a gardener in you; just maybe hasn't surfaced yet. Anyone with your flair for color and design has a gardener in there just waiting to sprout.

Sooo glad you are feeling better. Yesterday's post was so much fun, your blog is always the BEST! I have looked over your Home Tours again and again. My old house is still trying to tell me how to decorate it and I am finally hearing it, I think. We'll see.
Keep on getting better, my friend.
Hugs, Cindy

Kim,
As you know, we all love seeing your photos of your home!
I love the color of the desk...do you remember the name of the color? I have a green desk but it is not as bright as your color. Mine reminds me of that Hoosier green from so many years ago, very vintage, but I need a new look for my desk! I was about to paint it "Cottage white" from Behr/Home Depot.
Remember you'll feel the best after you rest. I guess you have rested enough!
Have a great weekend!

Delightful blog! Makes me smile and the photography is crisp and artful. My nana used to drop 1 beaten egg into her chicken soup along with some parm cheese towards the end. Yum!

Ki,
I am so glad you have recovered from that nasty dose. You managed to bring smiles to so many people even though you were down. I had to laugh at the pic of the flower you took when you were suposed to be in bed. That is so like me. Why do I always have something that just can't wait when I am sick. I look forward to your blog everyday. You always make me smile.
Thanks for being you!!!!!
Love,
Kate

It sounds like you are on the mend!
Would you mind sharing the name of the yellow paint in your bedroom? I get so overwhelmed at the paint store.
Posted by: Kellie | February 27, 2010 at 08:55 AM
Hi Kellie!
The yellow is Laura Ashley's Cowslip #3 and you can find it at Lowe's. It is a wonderful rich yellow. The exterior of Daisy Cottage is a different yellow.
Hope this helps!
