No, I'm not pregnant.
Those days are long long gone.
I'm just in the mood to nest. To fluff. To play. To twitter about.
How about you little one - are you in the mood to nest too?
My music is on, my scented candle is lit, and while Maggie pouts, I'm going to nest a bit.
;-)
Excuse me a minute .... Maggie is wanting my attention.
What Maggie?
You want to ask our friends something?
Well, go ahead ...
Sigh.
Do you think she will ever forgive me?
xo,
Kim
Oh my goodness...that picture of Maggie needs just one word change and I'd buy a whole pack of them that said "Will You Be My Valentine"!! She will forgive...she is precious.
Feel like nesting today too with the snow outside.
Have a wonderful day!!

You've got me in the mood to nest now too. Great day for it too, since it is snowing, yet again, outside. Love all of those splashes of red - so pretty!

I love looking at all your wonderful photos. I hope to get a good camera someday. I love the photo of Maggie. I think my dog, Bailey, is feeling neglected lately since I started this blog. It takes a lot of time right now since I am still trying to learn all the new things I can do on it. Still have to figure out how to add photos from other websites to my blog. I have learned a lot since I am not very smart about a computer. Good to learn new things though. Have a wonderful day, Kim!

Your photos are a day brightener for us here in the north country. Maggie is so adorable....who can not love that face? I have a red doxie....spoiled rotten. Someday I hope to have another....perhaps one like Maggie. Again...love Daisy Cottage blog!

I would love to be her mommy. I don't think that I would be as good as you though. Might take her out of that pouty mood. Or her 120lb Great Dane roommate would definitely. I love coming here and seeing all the bright, clear colors. Your house is just so lovely.

Your home is looking fresh and pretty today. I always enjoy your photos, they never grow old with me. Don't worry Maggie will get over her mad some day, girls always do. Thank you for my dose of morning sunshine with my coffee:0)

Oh, Kim! No one could replace you as Maggie's Mommy! LOL! You silly girl!
Love your nesting.
I wanted to drop by and see you before I'm computerless for a bit, and I'm glad I did. It was a pleasure as always...

Dogs do hold a grudge. My mom had to get down on hands and knees and beg forgiveness of a Pekingese named Toy.
Love your music. Does that mean I'm old?
In AZ we have sunshine and 70 degrees. That inspires a desire for yard work more than nesting here.

Dear Jo Anne,
We are SO NOT old.
But we ARE alive. :-)

Poor Miss Maggie! So obviously neglected...how will she go on? :) Nesting is so fun, but truly, it was that little dollhouse bluebird that sent me right over the edge!

OOOhhhhhh waking up to Kim's eye candy!!! Yay!!! Call is nesting, clal it testing your new camera, call it showing maggie live can be like normal again- call it what you will;, but Kim's at it strong today whoo hoooooo.

It is amazing how a cold, winter day can bring out the nesting! I love all of the color in your home. It warms my soul, as does the adorable picture of Maggie. Enjoy your nesting, and I am sure when it is all finished and just the way you want it, Maggie will forgive you. =)
Cheers!

Kim, Ms. Maggie will NEVER leave her Mommy! Although most of us would LOVE to be her Mommy there's only one Kim and Ms. Maggie knows it. God Bless you both for bringing sunshine into my home!

Tell Maggie she can come live with me. I'll pick her up at the airport. She can visit her "sister in name only", my Maggie. But then she goes right back because that is where she loves to be. Don't let her fool you.

Could it be that you, like me, are just tired of winter and ready for real Spring to get here?
And I'm sure Maggie will forgive you. Dogs are the most loving, forgiving creatures on the planet!
Posted by: Elaine/MuddlingThrough | February 16, 2010 at 11:51 AM
Maggie is so adorable anyone would be crazy not to want to be her mommy, but she belongs at Daisy Cottage with you! :) Enjoy your nesting. I need to do some nesting of my own... if it weren't for school.
Posted by: Kimberly Padilla | February 16, 2010 at 12:04 PM
I just love you...too bad I didn't find you sooner! I love all your colors, they are my colors too. I love to nest, I call it.. "feathering my nest"..cause thats what little birds do, they are constantly adding a little stick here or there. I love to change things around in my home and make it all look new. Come say hi :D
Posted by: Julie Harward | February 16, 2010 at 12:30 PM
Hi Kim,
You motivate us all to get some nesting done. I want to get some done, so I can go out and play (yard work) when Spring comes. At the present I am snowed in. What better thing to do, than some nesting?! I'm going to see if I can find some more red and yellow around my house to brighten things up a bit. Your influence is far reaching, dear Kim.
Love & Hugs,
Hattie

I don't remember when that post was now, but YES, She is welcome to come home to ME! :) I honestly don't know where you get your energy. During these deep deep cold spells in So. FL, all I want to do is sleep. I hate that, I am not a sleeper. . . it's almost like I'm sick (allergic to the cold, no doubt). We have another week of it, but I know it's the northern gale coming into windows that won't quite close. . . because we aren't set up for this stuff. BTW Maggie, I do have a nice warm waterbed :) just to entice! Blessings, Janet

SEND MAGGIE RIGHT OVER!!!!

Dogs are angels with fur....just look in Maggie's eyes. My Molly and Pedro keep me focused when I stray into thoughts that are not positive or useful.
This morning I saw a "twitter" necklace for dogs on Good Morning America. The dog wore it on the collar and it allows you to send messages while you are away on your dog's twitter account. It allows the owner to see if the dog is still, moving, barking, etc. while you are away.
I am retired now so I don't need it but I thought it was a great present for dogs whose owner's have to be away.
Beautiful pictures that inspire all of us to "nest" and "fluff" our feathers today!

As soon as I saw the snow I began nesting myself. fluffing, dusting, rearranging. Lolloia candles lit and the music from your blog on the computer. Perfect for a snow day in Mass!

Sunny and bright or dull and cold outside our homes can be warm, inspirational places to make our own. Daisy Cottage is proof of that. Thank you Kim for providing the inspiration to look around our abodes with creative eyes. Maggie, Don't be so spoiled. Your mommy is the best!
Now I am going to go paint something a bright color.

Nesting sounds so wonderful. Only one more month of the 9-5 and I will be nesting. I love to putter around the house but after working all day I just don't have the energy. And weekends always seem spent just trying to catch up. Your pictures certainly put me in the mood though. But no fair--I can't see the titles of the books on the chair. I'm a book collector too and I love to see what other collectors have found. Maggie is so adorable--who could possibly resist her.
Have a wonderful time "feathering the nest".

Kim:
I love your pictures and Maggie is such a doll. Don't worry, she loves you very much.....and would not be happy anyway but Daisy Cottage. I was home yesterday and was nesting myself. My yellow sun room is where I was nesting yesterday and I spent the whole day in my sunny yellow room looking out at the snow as I fluffed and feathered.
Thanks so much for your wonder pictures today...a reall inspiration to us.

Maggie is adorable! Thanks for sharing your creativity.

Your new brothers and sisters will gladly keep your company at the maison! Have fun Kim (candles lit here too ;)

Hi Kim,
With all the snow in Ohio and the schools closed rendering me off from work, I've been doing a lot of nesting lately too. I love to put on a pot of coffee, and start cleaning and moving things around. I too, am in the company of a wonderful canine and it makes for a nice day when it's so cold outside.
As always, I love reading your blog and seeing the photos of your home and sweet Maggie! You are such an inspiration to me and I'm so glad I found your blog!
Hugs,

Hi Kim, I would love to have Maggie come and stay with us here in Australia I would show her some kangaroos and koalas, and Im sure that she would get along fine with my two Poodles they would just love her. But I'm also sure that she would very quickly miss her Mum, she will get over it Kim one of my Poodles sulks that bad that she turns her back on me and will not have anything to do with me but she gets over it after a couple of days they are soooo funny and we love them. Its far to humid over here to be nesting but you have a great time I get like that in the winter aswell. I love reading about all this snow I know from reports over here that you have had alot of snow this year I have never even seen snow. Love the pics have a great day Trish xox :)
