As the sun sets and Sunday slowly slips away, and as I dress the dining room table with a Christmas tablecloth for the holidays, I'm thinking about the wonderful Thanksgiving that we had with our family and friends and thinking about all of you and wondering if you are home - safe and sound and filled to the brim with yumminess and sweet memories too.
I hope so.
I am also taking note of the little things that I need for my Christmas decorating, like white candles ...
But mainly I'm thinking about how very blessed I am and how much I simply love being HOME.
Do you know that feeling?
I hope so about that too.
I really really do.
Love,
Kim
Hi Kim,
I love having a burst of RED shining through from your home to mine at the end of a very, happy, lovely day at HOME. Your RED warms my heart. We spent the holiday at HOME and we loved it. Today was beautiful here - sunny and 58 degrees. We both were outside - hubby working in the shed and garage and me stringing green garland on our front door. I am a home body - it makes me happy to putt around the house. Have a good evening at Daisy Cottage!

Hi Kim,
I love reading your posts and they always cheer me up, I am recovering from foot surgery and can't get around our home much to decorate so reading your posts and seeing your beautiful photos is helping me to smile. We love the same colors and so your home is very close to my heart.
Take care and enjoy your day,
Elizabeth (Home is Where the heart is)

Kim, I am an infrequent commenter, due to limits of time, but a frequent visitor. I adore your blog - it is a beautiful escape full of eye candy and peace, in pictures and in words. Thank you for providing a bit of beauty and sweetness whenever I need it most.

Hi, Kim! Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. I ate too much! LOL! But I had a wonderful time with Mr. Magpie. Our plans went awry, but that's okay because we had a very special date.
As to Christmas, I am hosting lunch at my house and then will go to dinner at Disney with the godchildren. Should be fun. I'm looking forward to that and to the other festivities around Christmas.
Sending you big hugs...
XO,
Sheila :-)

I sure do know that feeling Kim. My DH and I traveled in a motor home for a number of years spending winters to So Cal in another RV we have there. It was great seeing this beautiful country.
Now we are in Arizona in a home that I just adore. Sooo, this is my first Christmas in our new home and I am having a ball.
Thanks Kim for caring.

I love the feeling of being home and feathering my nest a little. I've had a nice weekend of beginning my Christmas decorating. Hubby and I went to the country to cut some fresh greens to decorate with. I love the smell of cedar for Christmastime. I also cut some magnolia stems, pine, holly and hemlock. I think it is really pretty mixed. I will make a nice spray for my mailbox with a big red bow!

Funny you mention that very thing, Kim. I was just thinking that yesterday as I put the final touches on m y christmas decorating up and the angel on top of my tree......how much I truly love being home.
I am so thankful for it all.
I hope this Advent season finds you happy, healthy, rested, full of joy and surprise.
I can't WAIT to see if you decorate your MINI Daisy Cottage too in holiday spirit! Yay! LOVE your doll house. Love, love , love!

Good Morning Kim!
I love your vintage Christmas tablecloth. I started decorating this weekend. This year because I am still in the painting and remodeling stage, Christmas will be a little toned down. But you are so right...if feels great to be "home".

YES!!!!! There's NO place like home. Everytime I pull into the driveway of my little cream colored Cape Cod. I am so thankful to be HOME. I love it with its faults and imperfections and it's LOVELINESS to my heart. I am Dorothy with my own variations of ToTo. Happiness is really in my own backyard, and truly that's where I really long to be. :-) Love visiting your blog every day, Kim.

Hi Kim :)
I feel the same way. No matter how much fun I'm having somewhere else and no matter how much I love my family that lives far away... there's just no place like home.
I love your Christmas-y tablecloth :)
love YOU too!
