Sometimes it is the comforting things.
Like supper simmering in the pot.
And sometimes it is the precious things ...
Like the soul that owns your heart.
And thankfully it IS these things that weave the fabric of our days.
I can't imagine life being any other way.
Love,
Kim
P.S. The delicious and you-won't-believe-how-easy recipe for this soup belongs to this talented girl and can be found here.
YUMMmmmm! To the soup AND the puppy....I know snuggling with our little doxie is one of the pleasures of life!
XOXO

A lovely post, and I like the sun shining in on Miss Maggie. The rhythm of these small things are really the important things in life and make it hum along!

Living Honest
We have all lost virtue
It has slipped away
Like the fall harvest
It has been left
And shriveled on the vine
Soon there will be no trace of it
For it was not preserved in
Diamond cut mason jars
Virtue has rotted
Forgotten in the field
It will be turned under
With the roots
And dug up with
The potatoes
Scrubbed and sliced
And mulled over in
Winter stew
-Sarahlynn ( I thought you would enjoy this after your post.. poetry and stew.. living honest)

Hi Kim,
Does that dinner look delicious or what??? And another cute Ms. Maggie picture...good thing I live up north or I might stop by and steal her away. I finally set up a blog and published it. I'm not too happy with it (its a standard Blogger template) and I am not sure how to fix it. I can't figure out how to center the header and change the font. I have lots to learn - especially to take better photos. It was a beautiful day for my birthday. I hope your day was wonderful too!

Ok I don't like cooking Kim, but I think I can do it! Wish me luck. This reminds me of "hamburger soup". Have you ever had that?
Yum yum.

Your soup looks delicious. We eat a lot of soup in the winter. Nothing quite like it to warm you up and nourish you!

Heavens, I don't normally immediately think I want a recipe for something I see on a blog. But I did this one. Thank goodness you gave us the link to it!
