Hi.
How are you?
I hope fine.
;-)
Did you get a pumpkin? Do you know what I wish? I wish that I could have a message board as part of my blog where YOU could share with me, each other, and post your photos too. Why oh why isn't that an option? Hmmm - maybe ONE day I will figure out how to create a site like that. I know just enough about computers to be dangerous. I would like ALL of you to be able to share here whenever you like.
Speaking of being clueless with computers - I finally figured out how to add a way to subscribe to my blog. You will find that option on the left side of my side bar. I hope this helps those who have asked me about that in the past. AND I finally figured out how to add Google Friends, or whatever it is called, and that is on the right side of my sidebar. I would LOVE it if you followed me and became a "friend" BUT I know that we are all friends anyway - right? Right!
I am always SO flattered and touched when one of you suggest that I write a book. Now THAT would be yet ANOTHER thing that I am clueless as to how to go about. But thank you, thank you, for the suggestion and for even thinking of that! A book with all of YOU in it would be THE perfect book to me.
ANOTHER thing that I often ponder as I putter around here, is how I would LOVE it if each of you could visit me HERE at Daisy Cottage! Wouldn't that be fun if we could all meet, have some coffee or some wine? Or both? One thing I can guarantee - you would leave with lots of fresh doggie hair on your clothes!! ;-) Well, maybe one day I'll have an open house for my blogging friends.
Speaking of friends - my friend Cindy gave me this fun lampshade - just because - and I added the fringe...
AND my friend Lori, thoughtfully gave me daisy fabric as part of my birthday gift from her and it is now part of my new hall bath shower curtain! I asked my ever-so-talented-and-patient-sis-Jill to make a shower curtain out of Lori's fabric, a red & white checked tablecloth that I already owned, and the existing white ruffly (is that a word?) shower curtain. And of course she did! We love Jill!
I'll share more of the hall bath soon.
But most of the letters that were in there have now landed elsewhere ...
And speaking of landing - yes beautiful Rose, the birds have indeed landed in the dining room! ;-)
Back soon,
xo,
Kim
P.S. Some of you have emailed me to let me know that you are not able to leave comments lately - the comment box is not showing as "live" or clickable. I've asked Typepad about it and am waiting on their response. Thank you for your patience and for trying!!

I have been "hovering and snooping" again this morning. I brought along my coffee so I sipped as I wandered through your home. I swear if you EVER quit your blog this 62 year old grandma is going to sit down and cry. You never cease to amaze me with your ideas and you always put a smile on my face. I love, love, love, the green lamp. If you are missing it someday it will be up here in IOWA. Have a wonderful day dear Kim............JAN

I love your shower curtain -- you always have such fantastic ideas. And oh, how I'd love to visit with you -- what fun that would be. We have family in Tarpon Springs -- maybe a trip is on the agenda.
Have a wonderful day -- I'm headed to my fabric stash to see what I can put together for my bathroom.

Good morning! I'm loving this time of year and it seems like I'm decorating for fall more this year than last---we've had so many cloudy days and rain, maybe that's what's putting me in the mood. I didn't buy a pumpkin, but my wonderful gardener Dad brought over a whole box full of small pumpkins and gourds from his garden--they are beautiful. Happy Fall!! and as always I love reading about you happy home.

Kim,
Have you thought about a Flickr Page for Daisy Cottage? Your readers could post photos inspired by things they see here and we could all see them? Just a thought...I saw this on Attic24...

Kim,
You are a friend. I talk about what you are doing and your dear daisy cottage often.
No real pumpkin yet but I will get some to be sure. Last year DH and I went with our grands to a pumpkin patch to pick one. I have a fake one that has "We Are Thankful" on it.
Yipee! I have been dying to see your hall bath. The shower curtain is cute and cleaver.
I adore the letters that spell flowers.
It would be wonderful to be with you in person. I am grateful to be with you via the internet.
Your friend,
Nancy M.

Good Morning! Oh, how I love the birdies and that fantastic lampshade! Believe me, if you did have an open house, I would drive all the way down from Nebraska to visit. :) So, where is that beautiful black chandelier hanging?

Love that shower curtain! I've been looking for just the right size of pom-poms to add to some lampshades around here. But I want bigger ones than I've found recently here in town. Love to see your spaces!

That shower curtain is adorable. Just so YOU! And me! I will keep that idea in mind for a day when everything's blah, and that day's a comin'. It's pretty gloomy with the rain we've had in Oklahoma the past few days, weeks. I love your "Use what ya got" style, Kim.

You have a beautiful, one of a kind shower curtain! And when I saw your cardinal picture, it almost took my breath away. My mom, who loved cardinals, embroidered that very SAME picture! Whenever I see a cardinal in my yard I feel like my mom and dad are watching over me (they've been gone for 10 years now). Your cardinal picture brought me a happy memory, and I thank you for that!

Hi Kim,
Your colorful photos always make me smile! I would never have thought to put different fabrics together like that for a shower curtain. I, too, would like to see more of it. I'm not decorating for Halloween this year as my Hubby and I are taking a trip this October to your beautiful state of Florida. We finally got some sunny days here in NE PA. Every day is "sunny" when I visit Daisy Cottage!

I love how down-to-earth you are! I think it would be great if you had a bloggy open house! We would be there!!

Hi Kim
Claudie here, and all 6 of my fur babies all around me as I type this.
Come over and make your WISH on my last entree.
Mrs. Magpie and I are planning a trip. I'm coming to visit my Southern bloggy friends for my birthday in March, and she suggested exactly what you suggested... one big get together... OHG... that would be sooooo much fun.
I will keep you posted.
Love your shower curtains and all your colours as always.

Hi, Kim! I'm catching up a bit. It's busy around my home this week, and my feed service is not picking up your posts for some reason. :(
A book??? That would be wonderful. Oh, to have Daisy Cottage and you in my own home - that I could pick up and look at. I hope one day you could do that.
I love the lampshade!
Well, I'm off to get the day seriously started. Thanks so much - again - for sharing yourself with us here.

LOVE everything! the shower curtain is ADORABLE!
I think some kind of Daisy-Cottage-lovers get-together is a really good idea. The Fall Festival in Micanopy is the end of the month...although it means the town is pretty crowded. But it's lots of fun - I'm planning to go even if I have to go by myself!

And now I can share your link with my own followers and let them know all about you. Like you, I can't figure out computer stuff much, and adding someone's url is still not working for me,,lol. Now that I follow you, I just copy and paste your blog link very easily!

Kim, you could always do a facebook page for your business and crafty ides!!
I'm 48 and actually check my facebook more than my e-mail !
People could add to your facebook or leave you a private message.
I've run into all kinds of friends from highschool, old workmates, and met new friends.
Just a suggestion.

I forgot to tell you, I have a salon and it's totally furnished with yardsale,triftstore,Re-hab store, and just peoples junk. I'll try to send you pics.
My favorite thing in the salon is a piece of 130 year old wood from my great aunts homestead. I added 3 rustic hooks to make a coat rack. Everyone loves it, and wants to buy it. Of coarse it has too much sentimental value to me, I will never part with it.

Kim, this is so sweet. I signed up as a follower, but I have been checking in with you daily. I need to figure out how to put that on my sidebar without losing my bloglist. I have a fear of all of the blogs I enjoy vanishing into thin air! LOL!
SO, that little bluebird on your sidebar? That's me following the birdseed trail you leave for us! ;-)
Love to you. And if you get a chance, please drop by and check out the dollhouse (cabinet) I have for Cecelia at my nest. She hasn't seen it yet, but I hope she'll like it.
XO,
Sheila :-)

Dear Kim
I love the shower curtain, so fun using several different fabrics! The cardinal picture is delightful! We have lots of cardinals in our backyard and the other day there were 2 bluebirds in the birdbath and a couple of cardinals on the ground. I just sttod and watched out the window foe a long time. It was so beautiful! I have been looking for a bluebird figurine but haven't found one yet.
