Oh Happy Weekend My Dear Friends!!
I sure hope YOUR weekend IS a happy one!
The weather here today has been BEAUTIFUL! Just beautiful. We have a huge car show going on downtown and we could not have asked for better weather for it. I spent a LITTLE bit of time looking at some of the cars but must admit that really isn't "my thing." Do we still say "my thing" or is that dating me to the 70's? Or did we say that in the 80's? Oh who knows - the point is, the cars are not really my thing, although I can appreciate them and they are fun to see, but Vintage, of course, is more for me! ;-)
We've visited Angie's store before but I thought we'd treat ourselves to a visit again. There is always something new to see and vintage treasures to be found. I took LOTS of photos, randomly as I browsed, and came right home to share them with you.
Before we shop Vintage, I need to share the winner of the Southern Lady Giveaway ...
Debbie, come on down!! :-)
Hi Kim, Welcome home, you were missed!! What a FUN trip that must have been, the photos are great, thank you for sharing. I love Laurie Hickson-Smith, so happy she is the SL Woman of the Year. I think I am going to have to renew my subscription now! I just want to tell you how uplifing your blog is, it always makes me feel a little happier when I've visited you and Maggie. I know it's a lot of hard work, and your efforts are VERY much appreciated!
Thank you Debbie SO much! Please email me your mailing address and your goodies will be on their way to you! And thank you everyone for your sweet comments. Please know that I read, appreciate, and TREASURE each one.
So, let's shop and enjoy the vibe at Vintage - even if it is a little bit spooky in there now! ;-)
*edited to add - if you click on my photos they will open up to a larger size for you to view too.
Now wasn't that more fun than a car show?
;-)
Thank you for going shopping with me at Vintage! If you ever have the chance to pop in the store, please tell Angie that I sent you! AND if you see something that you might be interested in, you can find her contact info here. She will ship anywhere in the USA!
Back soon! I hope to be able to catch up with your emails over the next couple of days too.
so many goodies so little time...oh you have made my day meadering along with you to visit vintage..thanks..have a great week-end also..take care..

Thanks for the fun shopping trip...I believe I made those embroidered yellow bird pillows in the 60s or was it 70s?? They look very familiar. Certainly I am not old enough to have made something that is showing up in a store called Vintage, lol!

Hi Kim!
Sorry for not visiting as often as normal, but with my selling and buying my new home, and all of the packing and remodeling etc I hardly have time to do what I love most...visit great blogs!
Promise me that if we ever get the chance to meet you will take me to this fabulous shop!

Did you purchase anything? Like maybe the chair with the yellow flowers you kept going back to? You know it would look right at home in Daisy Cottage! I see so many things to take home when I am shopping and I know I can't have them all. Thanks for taking us with you.
Congratulations Debbie!

Hi Kim,
That is an extraordinary store. The whole time I was looking through the pictures, I was wishing that NY had a store like that, but I do not know of one, so it is very comforting to know that Angie, of Vintage, will ship anywhere. Thanks so much for sharing your shopping trip with you, and I agree - this is more fun than cars!

Not exactly, if it was a Vintage Antique car show. Woot. The embroidered pillow is gorgeous - now that's Embroidery the way it should be. I love the cobwebby looking chandelier. This vintage shop would get me into a lot of trouble if it were closer, whew! Thanks for the pictures, love going with you, wherever you go. Blessings, Janet

KIM!!! I'm jumping up and down! Happy! Happy! Happy!
Have you ever felt like you were a little girl running down the street as hard as you could chasing the car in front of you with all your family inside. The wind was ruffling the curls back behind your ears. Your feet were slipping in the stray pieces of gravel and just as you thought you might grab the bumper and hang on for all you're worth, you fall and the car speeds away, out of site, you've been left in the dust. Your chest burns as you try to take in more air and in disbelief as tears trace a line through the dust on your cheeks, you pound the pavement with your childsize fists. There you lie in the street all alone.
Somewhat dramatic, I know!
What does all of this have to do with shopping at Vintage you may ask? Well, I bet you already know! Right?
It was so much fun to shop with you today and I want to let you know how much I enjoyed it.
And by the way, I saw the perfect chair for your granny room in Vintage as we shopped!
Have a wonderful beautiful glorious day! xo rachel

I just love places like this! So much stuff! and so many ideas to get! You know, I'm hoping to get down to FL after the first of the year to visit my daughter, and maybe I can talk her into making the drive to do some serious browsing at Vintage. That would be great mother-daughter time!

kim, Thank you for the shopping trip. I am a pansey person and the pillow certainly had great work to show their brightness. I am TRIPLE thrilled to have won this great giveaway! When I read that I was the winner, I was so excited I started squealing and laughing and clapping...my husband, who was on the other side of the house, thought I had lost my mind! I had to run in and explain everything to him about Kim and the blog and the Southern Lady giveaway, talking so fast I was tripping over myself. I just want to thank you again, Kim, for your thoughtfulness and for sharing your home and your life with us. You have such a sweet spirit, and it shows in everything you do. Thanks to everybody who congratulated me on being the winner, that was fun to see too! Warm hugs to you all, ~Debbie
