On Saturday morning, Lori and I met downtown and treated ourselves to breakfast before we walked to the park to see The Garden Extravaganza ...
While my egg and cheese croissant was very good, I had order envy when I saw Lori's plate of french toast with bananas, nuts, and syrup. I'm sorry that I didn't take a picture of it for you - I was too busy drooling.
;-)
It was a gorgeous day and the skies were blue ...
And there were SO many blooms for us to view ...
We walked to the Farmers Market which was only a block away. I think fresh produce is beautiful too, don't you?
We had a great time and noted, once again, how lucky we are to have our downtown - especially since it is our neighborhood. We bought some flowers for our gardens and I hope mine thrive like I know Lori's will because - well, let's just say - my garden wants to be like Lori's garden too when it grows up.
Please bloom where you are planted sweet impatient!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend. Thank you so much for your comments on Fifi's guest post! And who wins Fifi's heart? Well you ALL have won her heart - she is so appreciative of your kind words and support!
But the lucky winner of THIS Fifi-heart is........
RHONDI!
Hi Kim
Thanks for sharing Fifi with us! She is a real live doll!! I am inspired!

Love those flowers, Kim! Yes, fruits and vegetables can be beautiful, too. Although they make me hungry when I look at pictures of them! Just picturing those green beans done up with some garlic and oil ~ Mmmmm. Congrats to Rhondi!

We are past the blooming season for a few months now. I did bring some of my petunias indoors to see if they will last through the winter inside. We'll see...

Oh KIm,
In my autumn world of dead flying leaves, cold grey rainy days and everything dying fast- sure was a nice breath of fresh air to see your lovely blooms. They are stunning.
Thank you for that beauty. I really needed it.
Hugs and smiles,
Michele

Woo!! You still have beautiful flowers there. Ours are gone. Thanks for the lovely walk with you. I, too, love Fifi. She's one of a kind.

Dear Kim
I can't believe I won! My husband says I should buy a lottery ticket because I just won three giveaways in a row! I am so excited to win one of Fifi's precious hearts!
((hugs)) Rhondi

That Rhondi is one lucky girl, especially when it comes to giveaways in the Tampa Bay area! She won one of my giveaways about 6 months ago! GO RHONDI!
(Afterthought: maybe I should ask her to pick some lottery numbers for ME!)

It's so hard for me to imagine all those flowers at this time of year. It looks like a wonderful way to spend a morning.

Here in Central PA, we can't decide if it's fall, winter or spring... we received some snow for Penn State Homecoming on the 17th, sunny and warm 70's the middle of this past week and the leaves are changing and needing raked as we speak ... it's just hard to see my roses in full bloom with snow around them.... it confuses me and them... thanks for sharing all the lovely pictures... flowers have a way of making my day a little brighter... just like you do with your blog.... thanks ...

Thank you for those beautiful pictures.
While I am enjoying the colorful leaves here, they will probably be gone by next week.
It will be awhile before we see flowers as in those pictures. We'll depend on YOUR PICTURES. :)

She is Barbara Ansley and she wrote Katy (our tour bus quilt guide) and wrote the name Jean, but since I talk about you and Lakeland all the time Katy knew it was me. Yes, it was a great note. Thank you so much. Blessings and (((Hugs))) and Yes, I will definitely let you know. Jan

YAY Jan!!!! And YES - it was Barbara Ansley!! I'm so glad my little note reached you!
It was very surreal to meet someone in Savannah (she and I sat together by luck) who was so nice AND who was on the same trip as YOU! What a small world...

Kim,
You live in such a beautiful and charming town. Thank you for sharing the beautiful flowers with us. I pray that yours do just as well, and from the pictures, which I have seen - there is never a reason for your garden to be envious of anyone's.

What beautiful blooms. It looks like it was a perfect day for the flowers to show off. Your breakfasts sounded really yummy too. I was in Orlando for a wedding, where it was also beautiful. A perfect weekend. Petunias and pansies do especially well through the cold months that are coming. You might tempt yourself with some of those too.

Hi sweet Kim... so many lovely blooms in that part of your world... here, in mine, the land is going into a restful slumber as it prepares herself for the long winter ahead... so blooms are now in the forms of myriads of colorful leaves in bright yellows, browns and burnt reds and berries turning orange in the fall, so it’s been nice seeing so many flowers again; al least in photos… thanks for sharing
Hugs

Oh my.... torturing me with pics of gorgeous blooms as the nasty old autumn winds bring down the leaves here in New Jersey. Oh well -- I did enjoy that tour of your downtown Farmer's Market area.
And that French Toast? Go BACK and get it this weekend! :-)
