You and I have visited Lavender & Lace before. If you missed that visit, you can read about it here. I hope you don't mind, but I really wanted to take you back because it is just so heavenly.
Mom and I had the loveliest time yesterday - dining in the tearoom, shopping in the delightful gift shop, and drinking in ALL of the charm that awaits for those lucky enough to find it quietly tucked away off of the beaten path....
We enjoyed meeting beautiful Holly, the manager of the new Special Tea & Bakery that is located off of the brick courtyard. And of course we also enjoyed chatting with sweet sweet Sehar - who has owned Lavender & Lace for the past 20 years. (How can it be that I have been visiting there that long?) She is SO friendly and welcoming - you must meet her if you have the chance to visit!
Sehar and her brother-in-law, Shahid ...
I asked Sehar if I could take lots of photos to share with you and she kindly said yes. So after Mom and I finished our delicious lunch, I helped myself to the gorgeous surroundings of Lavender & Lace and tried to capture a little bit of what I LOVE about one of my favorite places to visit.
Please pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy one of the sweetest tea rooms around with me ...
*edited to add for those of you who have asked - this would be the Angel Pie! ;-)
pssst....If you look closely, you can see my Mom over there in the shade waiting on me while I take the photos ... I think she is getting used to this whole blogging thing now. ;-)
That WAS heavenly, wasn't it?
I hope you have the chance to visit Lavender & Lace one day.
And maybe I'll see you there.
Love,
Kim
Kim. This is all so lovely...the gardens, the pastel colors (especially the pink fridge), the moss hanging from the trees and the beautiful dishware! Thank you for these pictures...they inspired a big smile today.

It really is charming, isn't it? I haven't been in years, but this makes me want to trek to Lake Alfred and go. Thanks for sharing these images, Kim.
If you get a chance, I have a little project with burlap that I did that I think you would enjoy.
Love you...

Hi Kim,
It is in deed a wonderful place! I loved all the tea cups in the dinning room cupboard and was that a coconut pie? it sure looked out of this world yummy!.

I would love to visit Lavender & Lace someday, Kim. I love the shade of pink on the building. What a lovely tearoom and bakery...I am wondering what sort of pie that is, the individual slice early on in your post. It looks yummy but unfamiliar.
I missed your first post on this lovely place and am so glad I stopped by for this one. Thanks Kim!

Magnificent place. I must add it to my must-visit list. We were in Kissimmee in March, and Destin in September. If I had known about this piece of heaven, I would have insisted we drive to wherever it is. :)

Charming, just charming!! Thank you, Kim, for taking time to get photos for us in Blogland. Question for you ... did you notice that old sign on the wall in the bakery pictures? I think it listed Ice Cream flavors or something. I couldn't see it that well. My question is do you know if that was for sale? Or was it part of the decor? Thanks again!

What a beautiful place! And so nice that you shared it with your mom. I lost my mother last December and miss more than anything sharing these types of finds. I spend time talking to her while I putter in my house. So today I will tell her about Lavender and Lace. She will LOVE it!

Hi MJ! I'm so sorry but I don't know... you could call and ask them:

Ask to speak to Holly in the Special Tea & Bakery shop.. tell them you saw this on my blog.
And Carla, I sooo understand. ((((hugs))))

Hi, Kim! That was so nice! How beautiful! It reminded me of a tearoom closer to Tampa that my daughter and I went to last March. It, too, was so pretty and feminine. Everyone was so kind, and we had a delightful time, as I'm sure you and your mom did. Thanks for the beautiful pictures!

Hi Kim, my husband and I have been there several times. We live right outside Orlando and love to visit the Lake Alfred area two or three times a year. In fact, we buy our seasonal pumpkins right in this area.
Thanks so much for the lovely pictures...how delightful.
I love your blog and am joining you as a follower. Please come to see me when you get a chance.

Kim,
Your photos are just the best. What a lovely couple!! They look so friendly. (I love her floral apron, over her floral skirt). What a gorgeous tea house they have created. I imagine it is a huge amount of work. But, well worth it. It is so dreamy and their attention to detail is fantastic. I am so glad they allowed you to photograph this beautiful place and share it with us. If I lived in the area I would be a regular customer!!
Love and Peace!

I love Sehar's yellow apron (my fave color). You have lovely tea rooms over there - Jan's Cafe (no relation) in Dunedin was so quaint and attached to an antique shop, while waiting for a table, you shop, great idea. Beautiful, thank you for sharing, (((Hugs))) to Mom. Blessings, Janet

Hello: Thank you so much for a trip down memory lane. I actually lived in this beautiful old house in 1979, when I was pregnant with my son whom I gave up for adoption. At the time, the home was a funeral home and parlor. I plan to write about these adventures in an e-book. Loved the pictures. Thank you again. ;o)
