Slip on your walking shoes and let's go visit Yvonne! She is a friend and neighbor of mine and am I ever thankful for that! She's a girl's girl and we have the best of times when we are all hanging out together. Yvonne wears SO many hats - a mother, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, preschool teacher, AND she is a wonderful nurturer. She is always caring for others. She is a generous, loving spirit.
One of the many reasons why Yvonne's home is a favorite of mine is because her love for her home is displayed with the same passion that she has for life. She has lovingly layered every corner with her favorite things - and all on a budget! She is a thrift and yard sale girl too and has decorated her 1920's bungalow with her wonderful finds.
Let's step inside, shall we?
Oh and I promise not to be too chatty and I'll just let you look. Yvonne is VERY excited to have you here today.
Enjoy!
The living room ...
The sun porch - otherwise known as "the princess room" as it is where Yvonne's mother and mother-in-law stay when they visit ...
Yvonne's little love - Ava ...
the dining room ...
the hall bathroom ...
and my favorite room in Yvonne's home - the kitchen ...
Yes, I love love love Yvonne's kitchen!!
I hope you enjoyed visiting Yvonne too - I can't thank her enough for opening her home to all of you!
Thank you Yvonne!!!
Oh, and would you like for me to share MORE of my friends' homes with you? If so, I've already put in a few requests.
;-)
Have a beautiful day everyone!!!
Thank YOU so much for going to Yvonne's with me.
Love,
Kim
P.S.
Thank you Debra for featuring me on your blog today!!! You are and have ALWAYS been a sweetheart!!!!

I love Yvonne's home! It feels so warm and welcoming. I couldn't help but notice all those beautiful handpainted trays. The red one in the kitchen is my favorite. I'd love to see more of her home and your friends' homes. You all have such a gift for creating an inviting space. It's funny, Kim. When I was younger, I longed for a big new home. Now, thirty years later, I'm looking forward to my son graduating from high school this year so we can sell that big house we waited so long for. I love the mountains of Pennsyvania, and my husband and I are talking about making a move. I already put in my request: a nice old farmhouse or bungalow with a wrap-around porch! I love things with a history. Thanks again for brightening my day and take good care of yourself.

Hi Kim,
I love the house tours you have posted and written about with fabulous photos! I loved your sister's home tour, also. I just found out you live in Lakeland...did Rhoda say that?
Anyway I live in Martin County, Fl (near Palm Beach County, FL)in a light pink "cottage!" It was pink when I moved in and we have kept painting it that shade.
I call it a "cottage" but it is actually a larger home that you cannot see since it is larger in the back. I love your style of home and your blog has certainly been one of my best finds in blog-land! I love Miss Maggie and her photos are so sweet. I think you should do a book on Maggie and Marley! I would buy it as I am a dog lover (We have 5 dogs, 2 being puppies!) Please consider! Almost forgot to include the fact that we have 3 sons; 2 teensagers!
But this house is perfect for us! Please keep finding homes for us to tour! You write one of my favorite blogs!
Thanks, JolieAnne
