I DID have the opportunity to meet Marlene Oberst, the friendly owner of this delightful shop where the fun vibe of more is more can be felt as soon as you walk through the door! She has owned The Shop since 1980 - how wonderful is that?
You can read more about her place here and here, which boasts 3500 square feet and is filled to the brim with home, office, and vintage decor everywhere you turn - literally! I lost Lori a couple of times! ;-)
Marlene graciously allowed me to take photos to share with you and she said that she would love to meet you if you ever have the chance to pop in for a visit. And of course, you can tell her that I sent you! ;-)
So let's shop, shall we?
(if you'd like, you can click on my photos to see them in their original size)
Can you believe how much there is to see? And I only captured a teeny tiny bit of the whimsical fun!
Well this concludes our little Micanopy adventure - for now. I do want to go back in the fall and I'd love to explore the areas that I haven't seen yet.
Thank you VERY much for going with me - it is always an honor to share these visits with YOU.
Love,
Kim
How cool is The Shop...if I lived around that place I would be in some serious trouble! Thanks for sharing

What a fun place! If she has had the shop since 1980 I imagine so much has changed since that time! I would love to see a comparison between merchandise when it opened and now, I just think that would be neat. Thanks for sharing!

Kim, I saw at least 43 things I want to buy. Can you go home after being there? I mean will you be in trouble with your DH? If not you have more self control than I. Just to much fun.
Thank you for the tour,

What fun! I think you could look at the pics for an hour & not see everything. I close my eyes & what I see first is that sweet little book with the white pup on the front, set back against the wall :-)
