Celebrate your plaid and red ...
And most of all - celebrate your friends, old AND new ...
Thank you Erica for baking these beautiful cupcakes!!
Definitely worth celebrating AND savoring ...
And sharing - please help yourself ...
Erica, YOU are beautiful! Thank you for these adorable treats!
(I will be sharing more about Erica and her talents in the days ahead..I am surrounded by THE most creative, inspiring people - truly!)

Dear Kim
What a cheerful post. Just the other day I was thinking about the expresion TGIF and thought about making every Friday a celebration. So rather then "thank God Friday is finally here" I was going to think of it as "today is Friday and I am going to make it a day to thank God and celebrate". I have been out of my normal routine for several weeks now, so thanks for reminding me!!
I am always encouraged and cheered when I visit you.
Many thanks, Rhondi

Dear Kim......Here it is Friday already and I needed my daily uplift. So...I could not wait to log on to your blog like I try to do each and every day. It makes me wish that my husband and I could move to Florida and be your next door neighbor. I would have so much fun going shopping finding all the little treasures you find. I know we would be the best of friends. I just adore your little Miss Maggie also. What a precious little angel. Have a great weekend from Oklahoma!! Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain. ;-)

Weird, Kim, your "this is it, kids" actually made me cry. My mom and Dad, my best girlfriend and my children's father have passed on already..........and life is short...........and you are so right about that.
This is it. So so so right!
Celebrate it, big and small, but celebrate it now, while you can, no matter what may be bothering you on the inside.
Bless you, Kim. You really are amazing.

Oh when I got married (the first time) 24 years ago (hmmm really? I need a moment) we receive those sweet little glasses with roses as a wedding present. They came with a little lidded jar that matched. I kept coffee in that jar for years and years and am at this moment trying to figure out where in the world it is.
I love the way you have the footboards lying against your bed. I have a bed with headboard and footboard. It was my grandma's but it will not fit in the bedroom which has two doors. If I use it, one of the doors will not open. lol It's that small. This may be a good alternative. :)
Thank you for making me smile. You write this blog just for me, right? :)

I had a conference call with Terry G. and another member on the phone last night. And so I understand you and she go kind of way back to her decorating business days.

kim now that i am no longer crying i must say that i celebrate every day on this earth ...even the days i have that are so hard to deal with as my daughter moved back home and she drinks too much and takes all the good things in my life as our family has went through and makes it bad ....and the reason she is like she is as she says we are dys -- funtional ... and my reply to that is yes we are dysfuntional but what is that living life and having bad days where you may feel bad and act human ?oh my gosh ! human!that is what life is living as real people ..who do cry and holler and scream at times ..and we all have those times where life really hurts us but you what ? that's when you go to DAISY COTTAGE .NET AND FEEL LIKE ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD .. THAT IS THE BEST PART OF ALL! OF LIVING IS THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE DAISY COTTAGE !!!

I found your blog while looking at Debrasotherthoughts blog, and Stranger on the Shaw by Acker Bilk caught my heartstrings immediately, followed by the little dachsie photos. Stranger on the Shore reminds me of my youth in England where we used to listen to that tune a lot. We have also always had dachsies and have just adopted a 4 year old standard long haired maie. So I have decided that along with the beautiful flowers on your blog, this is another special visiting place for me. Thanks for making my evening, with a wonderful piece of music and an excellent blog. Absolutely wonderful. Now I am going to ezplore some more. I have added you to My Yahoo Page. Thanks a million.
