Good Morning!
First, thank you all SO much - from the bottom of my heart, for your outpouring of love for Lenna. I know that you have helped her enormously as she has helped US to remember those things that are truly important in our lives. She hopes to join us in Blogland one day and when she does I will share her link with you. You may also write to Lenna at:
[email protected]
In the meantime, Lenna you are ALWAYS welcome here and I know that you will be treasuring your time visiting our friends and neighbors near and far who have so lovingly shared and opened their hearts to you. We are all in this world together. You are NEVER alone.
Secondly, the Random Number Generator picked Mia as the winner of my Just Because Giveaway! Here is her comment:
Too too fun!! My favorite place to visit...home! And anywhere my family is. Especially when my family is camping in the Santa Cruz mountains here in California! :)
Congratulations Mia! Please email me your mailing address and I will get your package off to you this week. AND thank you everyone for sharing your favorite places to visit! What a fabulous resource for all of us to refer to! Thank you, THANK YOU.
And thirdly (is that how you say it?), while Maggie plays peek-a-boo...
And the crape myrtles bloom SO beautifully ...
I'm going to savor EVERY photograph and word of this just released book ...
Waterside Cottages is written by Barbara Jacksier and photographed by Dan Mayers - two VERY talented spirits who I have had the honor of working with in the past. You can visit Barbara at her blog, which is always fun and inspirational. Dan photographed Daisy Cottage for Cottage Style magazine when Barbara was the editor-in-chief and you may visit him and see more of his amazing work at his site. AND you can visit here to order your OWN autographed copy of Waterside Cottages! I am LOVING mine!
This book is BEAUTIFUL. Honestly, it is really really beautiful.
PLEASE treat yourself to a copy - a lot of labor AND love went into this artful and inspiring book. Thank you Barbara and Dan for creating something that will, indeed, be a timeless testament to cottages that whisper soul.
AND, I will also treat myself today to savoring every page of the latest issue of Romantic Country, which is also BEAUTIFUL ...
My always inspiring and much loved friend, Fifi, has done it AGAIN. This issue is gorgeous from cover to cover and you will LOVE it too. Promise, promise.
May your day be as special as you are - thank you again for ALL that you give, and well - for being you. You ALL have so much to offer and help so many with your heartfelt words and generosity. What a beautiful world we live in - and it is because of souls like YOU.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
Never, ever forget that!
Love,
Kim
Looks like a book I could sink my teeth into. Got it in my Amazon cart.

I was just on the southside of Lakeland this afternoon and saw some of the most gorgeous crape myrtles. Loaded with so many blooms. That was a wonderful story about Lenna and so glad your blog helped her to step into the light. Congrats to Mia on giveaway prize!

I am so loving the Romantic Country magazine...Fifi is sooo talented...very inspiring, as are you dear Kim. I am going to look for the beach book BECAUSE I am coming to FLORIDA to the BEACH for vacation with my teenage daughters...and we are so excited to wedge our butts in the sand at Tampa and Clearwater for a week of sun, fun and SEAFOOD!

Congratulations to Mia!
I must get a copy of the new book. I know I would love it! I just put together a candle with the beach I brought home for vacation--same exact color and everything! It will go in my bath when we finish our redo.
The Crepe Myrtles are beautiful against the sky in your photo!
XO to little Miss Peek-a-boo and you too!

{{sigh}} Such lovely, sunny pictures! After all the rain we have had this week, it's grand to be reminded what it looks like.
Waterside Cottages looks good enough to eat. I think I will pester the librarians until they order it. Our library is woefullly short of soul-feeding eye candy.
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful talent, Kim-Angel.

Such a lovely post! I cannot wait to get my copy of Waterside Cottages! This issue of Romantic Country is stunning as always. I read them over and over again with tea or lemonade, sitting on the front porch. To me, that is the perfect way to spend a summer day! Your Crepe Myrtles are GORGEOUS!!!! I love those :)

Hi sweet Kim!
I've missed you too.... so very much. I loved going to Savannah with you and I'm so glad you bought the bag with the dachshund on it ;)
Lena's letter to you was beautiful and so inspiring. She's right... YOU make every one's day and your blog can make the greyest day sunny.
I already have Fifi's magazine, but I'll have to grab a copy of Barbara's book.
love you!

Love the picture of Maggie! I remember that one of the first posts that I ever read on Daisy Cottage had a picture of Maggie peeking out from behind a pot of geraniums! It was so.darn.cute and I had even saved it to share with my grandchildren!! So really Kim, it was Maggie that brought me back!! ;o) But I've loved Daisy Cottage, you and Maggie every since!! Also, I have my Waterside Cottage on order! Have to wait until Barbara gets back from vacation to receive it tho! And it's sure hard waiting!!
