Alas, Oliver Wendell has won Maggie's heart.
She is in love. He is the one.
She has shared with me that she thinks about him night and day...
And is ready to give her heart away ...
That is, of course, IF her big brother, Marley, approves.
And she thinks he will.
After all, Oliver has made the ultimate sacrifice. His valiant effort to catch a lizard has won Maggie's heart - forever, or so it seems...
He loves me, he loves me not
She loves me, she loves me not...
Ahh - puppy love - it's a beautiful thing!
:-)

I dare not tell Nugget about this. He will be so sad! Poor little guy just won't understand. Guess I'll have to break the news to him very gently...

Dearest Maggie:
This your precious heart--the metronome of a love song called "Maggie." You shall keep the "time" of my love. Beat, beat, beat, until enough scarves have been made to take away the lizard's curse that has half my tail and made some other dogs homeless. As a gallant warrior I shall hold to the fight for those dogs until enough scarves have been created by your followers and mine to bring comfort to the sad hearts of abandoned dogs. Would you expect any less from me? I think not...for it is my nobility that in part has won you.
Now, my betrothed, I will ave the courage to go another day knowing that your heart is pledged to mine! Pray many scarves are made so that at last our love can be made fully offical and I shall receive it with the dignity of a wagging tail--ALL of it.
Your Hero--
Oliver Wendell

Dear Maggie
I'm crushed. Barbara just told me you've fallen in love. Didn't Kim ever show you my photo on Barbara's blog? Don't you like older men? What will the rest of us singles males do now that you've given your heart away?

Maggie is in love...*sigh* I guess she had to grow up someday! : ) Of course my Kipper is depressed now that he will never have the chance to woo her but he still sends his best wishes to the loving couple! *grin*

Ah, how sweet! An uplifting tale. Or tails! I'm happy for them both. Tell her not to give her whole heart away. Just little pieces of her heart. A woman's got to keep something back for herself, you know.
