  • What I hope for my readers and for all keepers of the nest, is that they embrace their homes with their heart and all of the passion that it holds. I want them to know that they can decorate on a limited budget by seeing things in new ways; by rescuing the broken and transforming the ugly. I hope that they flaunt their favorite color and decorate their life with it. I hope that their homes feel like one giant hug that welcomes them each and every time they walk through their front door. More than anything I want everyone to have their own home-sweet-home dream come true! xo, Kim

Melissa's is very nice and she has done amazing things to her house...but I am comfy here at Daisy Cottage (I have had Melissa saved in my fav's for sometime now) I bet staying with her was a nice treat!

I enjoyed looking at Melissa's site and reading the comments from her readers. I especially liked seeing the rooms at Daisy Cottage from a different angle. It is important to have a "space" for youself. I am glad that a lot of readers were taking her advice and establishing a space for themselves. Since we became empty nesters in February I have the whole house (5 bedrooms)that I can arrange the way I like. But, I guess my space is around my computer, in my blue, bright and airy, guest room. It has been fun, and a little sad, to finally see just our taste in the house after so many years of raising kids (the years really fly). Of course, the grandchildren and our children still find their things as part of the decor.
