Do you remember when I mentioned that I wanted to collect little fabric hearts made by YOU?
Well, shortly after that, Jenny Doh , the editor-in-chief and director of publishing for Stampington & Company, contacted me and asked if I would consider sending in several of your hearts that she selected for a future feature in Somerset Life , a gorgeous publication filled with pages and pages of artful inspiration.
Of course, I was more than happy to pack up those chosen hearts and mail them across the country, after I was assured that they would be safely returned. And I am now VERY happy to share with you that the sweet hearts, created by real-life sweethearts, Kelly, Sher, and Arlene are featured in the current issue of Somerset Life!
Isn't that exciting? Thank you SO MUCH Jenny (you can visit her here) and thank you Amanda Belle Nolan, the writer of the story, for the wonderful feature on these special artists! It was a pleasure working with both of you!
If you have the chance, please treat yourself to a copy of this issue - you will enjoy it from cover to cover! Promise! :-)
Oh, and while I was so excited for these hearts to make their special journey to California, I must admit that I am REALLY excited that they are back home with me so that I can treasure them FOREVER! ;-)
That is exciting! Your hearts are lovely.

Hi Kim
I love that magazine and spent quite a while thumbing through it at Borders recently. It is so expensive though! I just couldn't pay that much for a magazine.
Hope you're having a great day.

How great of you to share your hearts. I will look forward to seeing the article. Many years ago I remember being fascinated with Mary Emmerlings collection of many different kinds of hearts, she even has a book about hearts, a very sweet book.
Have a heartfelt good evening Kim.

Cute hearts, Kim! That's neat that your friend's hearts were selected for the magazine. I'll have to look for it. Is it at Books A Million or Barnes & Noble?
I thought about you today. I dropped into Vintage, and I fell in love with an artillery basket. LOL! My friend Lu and I were out and about, and we had a good time visiting the new shop. Wish you had been there, too! I love the location.
XO,
Sheila :-)

I loved this issue of Somerset....well, heck, I love ALL issues of Somerset! I saw the pretty hearts, but didn't recognize that they were part of your collection that your sweet readers had sent to you! That's fabulous!!

Somerset is a magazine I would buy if I only had one choice. Does this one have anything to do with blogging, or did they just 'BORROW" your hearts ? Glad they are home now. How is Maggie doing these days ? All quiet on that front so she must be just fine.
Plan to skip out and check out the magazine tomorrow.

How fun! You were very generous to share, and now your hearts are magazine stars, and those who made them can feel so happy. Just think - seeing their little creations gracing a magazine - what a thrill!
I love Somerset Magazine, but didn't know about Somerset Life. I'll look for it the next time I'm in a bookstore (you can tell that I'm a little behind the times, but then I get to catch up, via Daisy Cottage!).
Thanks!

I stayed at your site for over 2 hours and drooled, wished, and wandered down every path. What a blessing to find such a delightful spot that just "takes you away". May God bless you with many sunny days, and the health to continue your travels down a world of cobblestone paths. God Bless. I think I have found a "new" home and I don't even have to leave this chair!!!!!!!

Sweet Kim,
Thank you so much for featuring my felted wool hearts. I'm so glad they've brought you and your readers joy!! That's what crafting is all about, isn't it.
I am amazed everyday at this wonderful e-community of supportive and talented women who open up their HEARTS and share their artistic, creative selves through their art and crafting, and their home decorating. I believe it is so important to nurture ourselves and each other along the path of creativity and beauty. And it is truly a beautiful thing to see women so supportive of each other through their blogs.
I believe we help create a more loving, and caring world when we pay attention to the details. And when we lift up the old, forgotten, and overlooked things around us and find their beauty; this becomes holy work.
You are an artist too, Kim
Love,
Kelly
