I'm not putting the punch bowl away, even though the holidays have come and gone.
And I'm not going to fill it with pretty green apples, like I did here.
I think I am going to leave it on the red buffet, ready at a minutes notice to be filled with frothy delicious punch, and as a reminder of the recent joyful celebrations that we had at Daisy Cottage.
And to help us remember, that EVERY day is, indeed, worth celebrating.
Every single day.
*edited so that I may share my favorite punch recipe*
Sister Jill's Pineapple Champagne Punch
1 can of pineapple juice
1 liter gingerale
1 container of pineapple sherbert
1 small bottle of champagne (optional)
Mix together in a punch bowl right before serving and most importantly - ENJOY!
;-)
What a great reminder. Thank you! ~Kelly

I just read an article recently talking about using the special things we have instead of saving them for company. Go ahead and use the new nice sheets, break out the china for Sunday lunch. Buy flowers just for everyday and savor in the special things we do for others. Do them for our own pleasure.

Every day is worth celebrating. You so inspire me to reach higher each time I visit and read your delightful posts. Thank you Sweetheart!! xoxo

I think that's a great idea, Kim! I like it there, and I like why you have it there. :-) I left my tree up because I have some out of town guests coming, and I wanted them to feel like our celebration is part of Christmas because I didn't get to see two of them then. I guess the decorations will come down eventually... hopefully by Valentine's! ;-)
XO,
Sheila

What a lovely thought. It reminds me of the old sentiment that Christmas is a frame of mind and should be kept everyday.
I hope your week is filled with much beauty and love,
