How do I describe our shopping day on Saturday?
Let's just say it was FABULOUS! We had sooooo much fun at this event! Our friend, Cindy, had been here before so she was our fearless tour guide for the day and she showed us a great time!
It didn't matter that we got rained on the first half of the day and some of us got the frizzies, especially yours truly - oh no it didn't matter at all because we were too busy meandering in and out of row after row of vendors with their wares for sale.
This particular flea market is HUGE - we were overwhelmed at first but quickly got over it! ;-)
Speaking of fleas, I do hope the vendors' doggies didn't have any...
There was something for everyone and the WONDERFUL thing about going antiquing and junking is that you don't need to spend a fortune to have a good time or to feel like you found a hidden treasure. I was thrilled with these vintage baby doll dresses that I got for a few dollars. They will be perfect for my Thumbelina doll...
I also bought a floral painting, an old party planning book, a royal blue mirror, a rusty bucket, and a vintage bicycle license plate with my name on it in orange! Fun things, but very inexpensive. I'll share those later, but for now I wanted to share a few things with you that caught my eye throughout the day....
My friend, Yvonne, bought this window for her kitchen....
I loved this blue suitcase but it was priced too high...
Of course, I LOVED these....
And this....
I really loved the patina on this....
I loved how the late afternoon sunlight played with this door...
We shopped 'till we dropped, and as the sun began to set, we said goodbye to the flea market and wearily drove to a local restaurant where we relaxed and relived the day over great food, great wine, and silly laughter....
It was a perfect day - and of course you were there with me too.
xo,
Kim
